1v1 Conflict Results & Wrap-up |

Results
It seems a long time since the 512 eager Conflict entrants suited up and began the first round of a journey that culminated in our epic final showdowns last week. It's been over 2 months, and during that time many have fallen by the wayside as the contest sorted the finest slayers from those who took up arms way back in August. Intent on cementing the final round as the height of competitive Halo, the chosen few who remained had to fight it out for 5 games, as opposed to the 3 employed in recent rounds. Many have been waiting eagerly for the results, and for those who haven't been keeping up with the match threads themselves, here's a breakdown of what went on in the culmination of Forge Hub's 1v1 Conflict.

One dark night, the staff banded together, using guns that fire shot and their own wit, to rebuff a seemingly endless wave of infected... maps. After hours of enduring humanity's destruction, Forge Hub presents the final survivors of its Hub of the Dead Contest, just in time for your late night Halo-ween festivities.
Third Place
Friedhoff
by RC
Prepare for some intimate encounters with the undead on RC's Friedhof, with its high walls and oppressive mood. Featuring a simple two level design, humans are eventually driven to the second floor in their final attempts to repel the oncoming infected. This map's relatively limited capacity only adds to its excitement, creating frantic moments of survival, even with smaller parties.
Second Place

Alizarin
Created by: Zombievillan
Recommended Players: 2-6
Recommended Gametypes: Team Slayer, Team Skyball, Multi Flag
Budding with enthusiasm after the completion of his tournament maps, forger Zombievillan continued his creative attitude and began Alizarin. The map began as Zombie received some fuel for building from a friend. As the map took off Zombies style took hold and molded the idea into the definition of a strong skybox map.
A multi-roomed, fully connected surface was forged, aesthetically red and brown to continue the uniformity. Great usage of small height variation promotes the feeling of different combat scenarios, while never putting players on too uneven a field. A standard weapon layout of Sniper, Shotty, Rocket and OS keeps with competitive play in mind, but suits this map much more then most. With his knowledge of what creates good competitive 1v1 maps, Zombievillan was able to expand this to a slightly larger scale, and created the very respectable Alizarin.

To another two weeks!
TGIF #44 will run on Friday the 30th of October and party leaders will start their parties at the appropriate time (check individual schedules for more information). If a party is un-joinable, that means it is full, therefore you do NOT need to send invites or messages to the leader asking to get in. It will not work! We all hope you have a great TGIF - play nice and have fun .
Please note that all TGIF Gamertags have been cleared out - if you've been on them in the past you will have to resend a Friend Request!
- Sign up by posting your Gamertag in this thread.
- Send a friend request to any ONE of the following TGIF gamertags over Xbox live: FH TGIF 1, TGIF IV or TGIF V.
- Each host's motto/bio will say what type of maps they're playing, and how many players are admitted.
- You gain access to each host via 'Friends of Friends' of the TGIF gamertag you sign up with.
- Join an available party according to the playstyle you prefer.
- Get tired of a party and want a change of pace? Leave and join another! All parties will be set to Open, so change parties as you please.
- Want to play Rocket Race for a few hours? Go ahead! Then when you get bored of it jump ship and join another party for a different style of play!
