I think the elements you are talking about are just suppositions based on the limited experience you had in my country. You talked about personal greetings, buffets (they are not the norm), espresso, catholicism and so on. If what are you saying is right, then in the South should have been an explosion of infections. But it's not like that. We've just been unlucky and it's a lot more likely that tourism played a part, or simply work played a major part. Companies here, both big and small, have a lot of contacts with China. So all the things you said, considered the evolution of COVID in other countries, didn't help its spread. Probably we'll have more deaths because we have older people and smokers, but that's it. P.S. Anyway you talked of issues in your first comment, characteristics would have been a better word, less misunderstanding. Cheers, hope the spread in your country won't reach our level.
