Hello and welcome to ForgeHub! Let me be the first to say we are happy you stopped by and hope you enjoy what the site has to offer. There are a few things you should be educated on before you start posting. These items of ForgeHub knowledge will help make sure you and the other community members have an awesome time on the site. The first order of business is when you are about to make a thread asking a question, make sure to first use the search bar located at the upper right of the webpage. There is a chance that your question might of been answered already. Be respectful and responsible when posting. This is one of those things that shouldn't have to be stated but needs to. It is understandable that arguments and heated discussions will happen, but please refrain from using derogatory terms, personal attacks, threats, or anything else along those lines. Don't post any illegal or inappropriate content because this isn't that kind of "hub". If you are unable to follow the above, then it may result in you getting a warning or even a ban. Also please no alt accounts. Alt accounts are usually a way for someone to do the things above and try to get away with it so please don't do it. When posting your map, make sure you know if your map is completed or still a W.I.P. (Work In Progress) so you post it in the correct area. If your map is still a WIP, don't post it in the maps section of the site, Instead make a thread in the Forge discussion board with the title of the map and "WIP" so people know at a quick glance. A lot of times people will want to help test and give feedback for it so it is best to also provide your gamertag or a link to where download it. If your map is completed or in the finale playable stages then you can post it in the Maps area located at the top of the webpage. There, people will be able to download, rate, and review you map. That is why it is best to make sure your map is in those final stages so others can expect what to play but still give feedback for minor adjustments. Constructive Criticism and Critiquing Every one here is most likely a forger to some extent, and with that most of us care a lot about what we make. On this site, you are going to receive feedback you like and don't like but remember most of us, if not all of us, want to see each other succeed. When receiving feedback, take some of it with a grain of salt since feedback is inherently opinion based. When giving feedback, sometimes it is best to explain in more detail and provide ways to improve or fix a problem (people will be grateful for that). Don't say someone's map sucks because it doesn't have a BR or you don't like the colors they are using. We all put a lot of time in the maps we create so don't be a donkey. Lastly, there are a great bunch of people known as the Staff and they will have Orange or Red names. We are here to help and make this place the best it can for you so if you have any problems or questions feel free to post it in here or PM one of us. This is the current list of staff members. Feel free to introduce yourself and once again welcome to ForgeHub! Have fun, forge on!
