The World's All Yours
Hey Hey ForgeHub! It's Ascend back again with another weekly update. In this week's edition I wanted to dial in on two key things; world building and custom games, two often under appreciated aspects of Forge. We're gonna take a look at some awesome massive environments as well as some fresh and intuitive custom games. let's get started!
Sweet, Sweet E3
To the remorse of many Halo fans, the franchise did not make a major appearance at this year's E3. However, Xbox fans were given a plethora to geek out over instead. If you missed all the exciting news, check out the recap here: Click Me!
As several of you know, we switched the host servers over to bigger and beefier servers to give you the community better performance, as well as a lot of other tech mumbo jumbo that does cool things. The migration caused a couple bugs but with the power of technology we were able to fix them, in other words, the search bar now works like it use to. Also a new update was made to the maps portion of the site, users are now only able to update their map once per week. This is to help encourage more meaningful map updates and to reduce people from bumping their map to just see it on the front page everyday.
Everyday more and more awesome content gets created and it’s amazing what the community can do! Let’s take some time to highlight some of the latest and greatest from the past week.

Verisimilitude by x NF x Monsta
First up on our map spotlight list is this massive DayZ map. Like mentioned above, this week we focus on expansive worlds and this map delivers just that. With a play space nearly the size of all of Tidal, exploration junkies will have a ball with this one.
Bandit Island by el Dunco
The self proclaimed king of sewers has laid down his crown in order to give us Bandit Island, an awesome large scale survival map. Nearly the size of Tidal, this stormy island in full of eerier mystery and violent confrontations.
Battle Shell by CaptainDireWolf
Now, let's hope nobody at Nintendo is a frequenter of the site. If so, you might just see this super cool Mario Kart inspired mini game get wrapped up in an aggressive legal suit. That's right, DireWolf delivers a fun and nostalgic recreation of the old N64 classic in this survival based custom game.
Primus III by Omni42
Puzzle maps are both difficult to make and if done right, difficult to beat as well. Halo 5's expanded Forge toolbox has bolstered the genre of maps to levels previously thought unobtainable. In Omni42's puzzle map, Primus III, players attempt to clear the challenges of a powerful Metroid inspired world. Give this one a shot. Watch your temper.
