    Two Corpses in One Grave

"Of course you came for her. We exist together now, two corpses in one grave."

October is in full swing and even during the month of merry mayhem, nothing is more frightening than a Monday. Luckily at ForgeHub we understand your weekend woes and prepare this articulating article to get your undead feet wet into what's ahead each week. So hold onto your bones, because we have some otherworldly news that will be sure to rattle them!

Once again it's Shooty Person clocking in some overtime as your weekly wonder making sure your eyes don't wander away from our fear-inducing forge updates. You're in for a trick-or-treat this week, as we buckle up this ghost train of hand-picked goodies to be delivered directly to your coffins. Make certain that you pause and reflect your vampiric thoughts on this week's news in the comments below. And if you're wondering when I'll run out of candy-corny Halloween puns, the future looks pretty grim for you.

All Around Me Are Familiar Faces

Today we are more than excited to announce our last two additions to the site's staff. It has been a long and grueling process to pick the best of the best for our team. How fortunate we were in the end that the best of the best came to us! Please join me in giving a warm welcome to our newest and final additions, @ducain23 and @Sethiroth!

You've seen him around the site before, now let me cut out the middle man and hand the writing privileges over to Sethiroth for his brief introduction into the world of staffing!

"Hello! I am Sethiroth (insert badass FF7 music here). I been playing Halo since the beginning and have never looked back. I have always been into game/level design and when forge came out in Halo 3 that was the beginning of a whole new passion that I had no idea would last this long. I will be part of the Stream Team and will be bringing you weekly content every Wednesday on Twitch.
We will be covering all aspects of level design, so if you're interested in learning more about this topic be sure to join. I am excited to be apart of this staff and I hope I will be able to do this community proud!"

Forger. Father. Cowboy Feline Enthusiast. Like a fine wine, he only gets better with age, I'll hand the ropes over to a man who needs no introduction in the Halo community, our newest Community Coordinator, Ducain23!

"Hey what's up everyone, Ducain23 here and I'm now part of the Forge Hub staff as another Community Coordinator! As many of y'all know, I always try to promote Forgers creations on my social media, YouTube and streams... so now I will be doing the same on ForgeHub's Twitter account. Back when I started Forging, seeing my map promoted by a community was the best feeling and always kept me striving to create better and better maps. I'm here to help showcase those fantastic creations from new and known Forgers. Now I might dabble into other areas in the ForgeHub community besides just promoting maps, but my main goal is to spread the love of this amazing community and help map makers feel the same way I felt when my creations were promoted. There are many incredible maps out there and I want to show them all off to the world.:D"

    Virtually Anything

This week the folks over at 343 Industries revealed what they've been cooking up in secret for awhile, and that is Halo: Recruit, a short and simple virtual reality display that places viewers into the presence of their favorite genocidal alien construct, 343 Guilty Spark. Or if you prefer to give a Sangheili a dental check-up, GrimBrother One describes his excitement upon gazing up into the open maw of an elite who tower over us tiny humans. Who knows what else is possible in this Windows MR title?

While not much else is known about Halo: Recruit, you can check it out in Microsoft Stores all over this installation come October 17th. You'll see me there, undoubtedly grabbing at the open space in front of me in a feeble attempt to hug Master Chief.

    Final Destination, Fox Only

The community 1v1 contest is coming to a rapid close! With so many entries already, why don't you throw some more at the judges to keep them facing off Mano-A-Mano for the next few months! This contest is a community driven one, as apposed to our previous few, which ForgeHub held the reigns. Remember, your deadline for submissions is October 16th!

We have had a myriad of awesome content since I last checked in with you all. As per tradition, get ready to indulge yourselves in some of the best we have to showcase from this past week!

    Boggy Creak by Arpod

Fueling my insatiable thirst for Halloween related puns is @Arpod with his stunning new take on an old favorite. Beaver Creak is a simple and time-tested map that few face-to-face maps can draw comparison to. Add a spooky swamp overlay to this fan-favorite layout and you get Boggy Creak! Don't lose your head like the horseman, and watch out for those rockets from above.

    Divinity by FRED IIIII

Having had the luxury of playing this unconventional 1v1 space with it's creator, @FRED lllll, I can say with certainty that it is a blast. Hopping from platform to platform creates a sense of urgency in every movement you make, adding a heightened awareness of the map's geometry to your list of must-have information. It also helps that it looks good too.

    Alchemist by GreyMuffinBass

A sinister green hue encompasses this 1v1 contest entrant. The natural look of this asymmetrical hexagonal map is imbued with fantasy themes that will be reminiscent of your favorite magical lands. @GreyMuffinBass has gone above and beyond to create an immersive mystical battleground. Grab a witch's brew with a buddy and hop on Alchemist for a showdown. asd

    Redeemer by thesilencebroken

Now this is nostalgic! @thesilencebroken has been crafting community creations since all the way back in Halo 3, where he created a little map on Foundry that some of you old folks might remember being featured by both Bungie and ForgeHub. Well, that was just under ten years ago. Today we are treated to a fully remastered Redeemer that's even been built on a makeshift Foundry canvas! (created by @JoeDannyMan) Grab some friends and treat yourself to this blast from the past.

Everyday ForgeHub grows a little more. We wanna take this time to say hello to our new members each week as well as give them a chance to say hello to everyone, new and old.

Here are this week's new members:

    @BudderHCS @EternalValkoren @Feed Split @Ghost Senpai @Sevenade

Welcome to the site everyone! On behalf of the ForgeHub Team, we hope you enjoy your stay! Consider posting your maps, creating forum threads, commenting on other's work and playing in custom lobbies to meet new people. Regardless, we hope to see you around :)

Every week there are customs lobbies held by a variety of people for a variety of different purposes. Wanna get your maps played or just play some Halo? Check out the schedule! Note: Times are listed in Eastern Standard Time.

And so concludes another weekly update. Remember that the Clip/Pic of the Week section is 100% influenced by you, the community. Be sure to leave your thoughts in the comments below and if you have suggestions for new weekly categories, don't be shy! Until next time, smell ya later!
