Sandbox Turbulence v2

    After some good and appriciated feedback I spent a few days and refined alot of the map.

    Turbulence is a map designed around all 4 MLG gametypes, TS, CTF, Ball, and King. Hopefully Bungie adds a patch soon to make the grid, death barrier, on sandbox skybubble return objects quicker so this map will work correctly on CTF and Ball. Untill then its mainly a Slayer / King map. This map is a unique design, that Ive seen, with multiple entry and exit points from each area.

    What changed from original version:
    -Most of it is fully merged.
    -Spawning is a bit different.
    -Bases now have basements with 3 entry/exits to help manuver though them for cover or escape.
    -Rockets moved to lower open platform.
    -A little more cover added to lower open platform. (2 taller blocks)
    -Ramps to bases from lower platform widened.
    -Some weapons and grenades moved around.
    -Mauler removed from map.
    -Both man cannons removed from bases.

    Details
    2 Main Bases (Red/Blue)
    2 "Mini-Bases" (Control Points)
    Several Entry and Exit points from each bases and mini-base.

    Weapons
    6 Frag Grenades
    6 Plasma Grenades
    5 Battle Rifles
    2 Carbines
    1 Rocket Launcher
    1 Sniper Rifle

    Editing by Date:
    4/23/09
    -Removed Mauler and replaced with Sniper Rifle.
    -Made Tower area slightly better for manuvering.

    -Created an exit/entry from each base near lower plat ramps.

    May need to change up spawning in top base "windows"

    wow nice map love the merging and the sniper tower but why is there a mauler up there but what ever love the bases and the lower level its well foreged 4.5/5 after i just downloaded it is 4/5 because of the bumps

    really nice map, im glad more people are using objects to act as a bumper so people dont fall off the map 24/7. for some reason, have a mauler up in a higher area doesnt work for me, but again, thats just me. The mauelr location could work out very well. Could you maybe make/put some call out areas? would be nice, thanks, ill give it a try.

    i love this, i agree its no good idea to put a mauler up there but its worth a DL.

    Yea the mauler was just kind of thrown up there. I really didnt want 3 power weapons on the map, and felt rockets were to powerful to grab on high ground. I could swap the mauler out for a snipe but dont know if thatd be over kill with the map size/design.

    The bumps are hard to get rid of since bungie stated unless objects are placed perfectly on thier original axis they may shift, everything was flush when placed but after restart after restart it becomes bumpy.

    Ill try to add more call out locations but sandbox doesnt offer anything really well like A and B signs, kinda sux =/

    Thx again for the feedback Ill tweak the map more and more as it comes in and keep this thread alive with updates.

    Great map overall, the merging is great and i like the layout, maby try to revise the weapons though, i would say maby switch the Mauler for a br or carbine that way youve got a mid ranged weapon for a map that it would suit. 4 out of 5
