Fend Off

    hey guys i really appreciated all your feedback for Icarus. This is the same map. only called Fend Off now. Fingers crossed no-one else has made a map with that name too...

    changed several things...
    1 - You can see the ocean now, no high walls locking you in, but beware of the boundaries. Soft kill outside of the columns.
    2 - Top middle is accessible by two walkways so that your not stuck bottom middle trying to obtain the rockets (Figure 1.5).
    3 - Walkways from base and Flags are simpler and smoother (Figure 1.2 and 1.3).
    4 - Top level Walkways have inlets for cover/recovery/ambush. Two of these inlets have look outs onto top middle. The other two are closed off but have Scattershots with one extra clip in (Re-spawn at 60 seconds) (Figure 1.4).
    5 - Outside perimeter is littered with rocks providing cover if you are trying to outflank your opposition (Figure 1.7).

    Update
    - added Two Snipers that spawn from start (re-spawn at 60 seconds) in front of large square rock in corners of the map, near the flag.
    - added small jump platforms inside enclosed base area which makes for an easier return to the top level walkways from ordnance drops.

    You should have made the columns outside have the same height. In the last screenshot, they don't look even at all.

    Or, instead of those tall and thin 1x1 blocks, you should have put wall coliseums. And since you wanted the players to have a good view, you could lower the wall coliseums so that players can still see the outside.

    And if the wall coliseums are low enough that the players can jump over them, place soft kill/kill boundaries.

    You also should have just updated/edited your original post, "Icarus", seeing as the changes you made weren't THAT big.

    I think you're only supposed to make a new thread for the same map if you've made major changes.

    But, I haven't downloaded any versions of this map, so I can't really say for sure.

    guess i didnt check all of the columns. they should all be the same height. ill fix tht.
