      Good work on the hidden barrier idea. That will come in handy. I was even thinking about how I would do something similar on my F in way remake. I added an extended secondary space with a high ceiling but didn't have enough crates piled up to block you from jumping up to an advantageous height.

      Nice to see you're still keeping tricky :)

      did you use a modified variant of the invasion slayer gametype to imitate weapon drops?
      also, please can i dl and incorporate this idea into my own map?

      Looks like neither of us have been around lately. Thought I should let you know I put up an old map of mine that I never uploaded. Figured I would get it in just in case I don't come around again until Halo 4. I've also got a few gametype revisions I want to upload if I ever get around to it.

      ohai, are you familiar with the author Ayn Rand? So far I am reading The Fountainhead and its pretty good so far, your name reminds me of one of her other books.

      Posted the older Xenon x3 shots in map preview. Now all I have to do is get my **** together and get the final addition ready and shot before next weekend.

      So I gave it a thorough testing today and i found that with the jump in place, no matter where we put the weapons, we would always tend to grab the shotgun and/or the concussion rifle and then run back to the lift. The main reason for this was the simple fact that you could hear someone take it. Since the map is tiny you're there in seconds someone dies and then you grab a weapon and run back because odds are that the other guy is still there. Liking the jump pad just emphasized the problem. Sooo, it's with sad longing I refrained from adding the jump to Xenon RC2. I'm considering posting the screen shots from the earlier Xenon X3 even though there has been a couple major revisions. (not that any of them overly impact the gameplay or the general map design). I'll leave X3 for any who choose to try then I'll probably post the map within the next week. I could temporarily upload rc2 if you want to check it out.

      The Shotgun doesn't have any extra clips :) Neither does the concussion, and most of the other weapons are limited to some degree. It's set that way to force map movement and reduce kill streaks. The Concussion is excellent at killing a shotgun weilder but usually requires 2/3's of it's ammo, but it makes up for that by letting you steal the shotgun :) The shotgun was moved 3 times to find a place where it wouldn't immediatly dominate. The shotgun is treated as the power up weapon of this map, since the Concussion has no extra ammo. So far x3 layout was the most balanced in play out of all the versions, then you had to go and make a wicked looking jump pad that I can't seem to find a way to keep.

      I've been trying to cram as much visual impact into this tiny little map as I could and I figured it was about done and there you go adding to it. It really does show how far your map designing skills have come. I enjoyed the track lighting look you came up with - I'll probably keep it, the glow effect on the upper level didn't really hit me at first but then grew on me so I'm probably going to keep it but the pièce de résistance was the room with the lift. Why the hell did you have to build the lift damnit. It looked soooo amazing but unless I can come up with some magic I think I'll have to pass on it. Here's the problem, I added the shotgun in the location and manor I did because it can easily overwhelm, hence the overshield and concussion rifle. Also loadout times and double spawning weapons, no spawn on starts, and everything else was to more effectivly balance the shotgun.

      Now, not only do you get a shotgun but you are immediatly rushed to the highground, which in a map this small still gives the shotgun a decent shooting range. Now add the only real angle of attack a jump with a lovely warning noise and you have the makings of a old fashion lamb to the slaughter situation, or eventually you pit shotgun against shotgun, to which your opponent still gets the warning noise. No matter how I look at it, the cannon man adds far too easy access to a postion of power that's easily guarded. I was considering posting tomorrow but now I'm going to have to rethink the map. I've already moved the entire map 1.6 points to help darken some of the map and I've made a couple minor visual adjustments. Now I will have to try playing with the changes you've suggested and test out that damn jump pad. I wish I'd never seen that damn jump pad! Thankyou and you're a bastard. :)

      I've uploaded a new map you may be interested in. Haven't posted or anything. I was going to run a preview but then I noticed nobody posted links and I didn't feel like making invites. It's pretty much good to go. It's another tiny map like No F in Way but that's where the similarities end. Check out Xenon I recommend turning the sound up and the radar off :) Have fun.

      quick note; just noticed I forgot to set "vehicle use" to - no passenger on the RRampage gametype. If you like Revenant Rampage Arena, I'd recommend updating. It makes it alot easier to get back in the drivers seat. Sorry about that. I rebuilt the gametype with the minimum required elements since my original had enabled and disabled things that didn't make a difference. Looks like I forgot a fairly important one.
