    Weapons: Rocket Launcher 120s 1clip, Scattershot 90s 1clip, Needler 90s 1clip, BR x2, SMG x2, Lightrifle x2, 2 Splinters, 4 Frags
    Powerups: Active Camo 150s

    White Cell is a small, symmetric 4v4 map. The design partly comes from a map I made back in H2A called Magnetic which was inspired by Haven. I really hope you guys get a chance to get some games in on this one because I think it's the best I have to offer so far in this game. Thank you to anyone who has given me feedback and helped me test the map up till this point. I hope to get many more games in on this in the coming weeks so I can polish it as much as possible. Special Thanks to Box Knows for requesting that I revisit my work from H2A and for suggesting I rescale the map early on in the design phase.

    If anyone gets any games in on it please feel free to leave me some feedback. Nothing is set in stone.

    I have followed this map since its release. Though I would like to see it connected to something, be it a few huge braces holding it up, or set out off of a cliffside somehow (I like immersion), I understand there may be budget restraints, but I encourage you to see if something might fit. I must say it is a massive success. The game play on this map is always exciting, fast paced, and unique. I could play this in matchmaking. As the author has taken feedback, but kept the map his own, this map has developed into something that I want to play when I think of Lockout or Guardian. Well done sir!
  2. Before I get into my review, I really enjoyed the map and personally feel it deserves more attention. That being said, let's begin:

    The Map hits the ascended with cod hit markers allover. The map is very pleasing to the eye and is simple enough to keep you from getting lost. The map is well balanced, keeping encounters open to different approaches.

    The map is almost iconic and would make for my 5 star if it wasn't for one thing, Flow. From Team Slayer, FFA, and Strongholds, all players move right to the huge open side of the map and stay there for most of the game. I never found myself moving down stairs for anything but invis. My games here all played the same.

    -go to lookout or mid room
    -wait for someone to run through courtyard
    -repeat

    The only exception to that was Strongholds, this maps strongest gametype. Overall. The map doesn't play as well as it looks. (But if it did...)

    Absolutely great great GREAT map. Simple, yet well thought out in design. Good power positions but with possibilities to flank those positions without having 5 million routes in and out. I love the little details, Imo you have found the perfect balance between simplicity and detail and that is hard to do!! Even the little glass pane at top mid looking down on camo gives top mid that little edge making it a power position, but love how you put rockets and camo at the bottom, bringing players below for key moments of the game. Love the routes, the sightlines and pretty much everything else. I really don't have anything bad to say about it. I hope to see it in matchmaking. 343 should take notes

    Excellent map delving into fresh and simple asthetics. The big bow and arrow is even playable, I got a ground pound off you hiding up in it :)

    Beautifully keeps you coordinated in terms of map position; you'll never get lost once you play the map for more than a minute or two.

    Half star is reserved for weapon readability. I eventually found everything, but I feel like the light rifle could be moved and have 2 instead of 1, with a reduced clip. The way the zoom and hip fire work I could see some awesome base to base battles.

    All in all though, I can die happy knowing this map exists

    Looks like a nice clean map, but that arrow is way too big for the bow :)

    The bow is kind of tacky though.

    I think you should also add something to easily tell what side of the map your on. I like when people add banners to these clean maps. Maybe above the arch ways into the bases and on the outer edges?

    I know its a bit big, but from the side of the map you see it from it doesn't look bad. It's either it has to stay the way it is or there has to be a visible joint from the merged pipes I would need to use to get the correct length. I think it looks better smooth, especially because you can walk on it. If more people have an issue I'll change it.

    @Anarchy Kane, I don't think determining what side of the map you are on will be a problem for anyone. If I can figure out something that fits aesthetically I will likely add it, but I don't really want much color on the map. Sorry you don't like the bow, but most people I've shown it to do, so I'm keeping it. You can also climb up it if you feel brave so it serves a minor purpose for some people.

    It's not an issue, I was just noting :). If I remember, maybe later I'll jump on this map and try to put together a bow of my own to compare (if you don't mind, that is).

    This map look amazing the only problem I can see is that its pretty hard to distinguish where you are when you spawn because everything is white I understand that changing the color of the wall would be heartbreaking but you could maybe put the ramp of both base their respective color or something.

    I really like what you did with the vines and trees its simple yet fancy.

    I think the fact that you are either traveling clockwise or counterclockwise around the structure should be enough for anyone to orient themselves. I totally get your reasoning, but I suggest trying it out and getting back to me. I haven't had anyone complain yet.

    I really enjoy the layout! It's pretty thought out yet simple. You did mention this is a remake from previous halo work. I must say that the map feels very unfinished. It has the look of a map laid out before the aesthetics are added. Here are my suggestions to add some aesthetics without changing the overall look or feel to the map, which I can tell from your previous comments that you are hard to budge on, which is a natural response of ownership.

    My suggestions:
    Add a very subtle way to differentiate sides, bungie and 343 are masters at having subtle hints to set some little thing off in our heads to know where you are without having to remember or look for it. Add a small decal on a wall or stripe on the floor, maybe add a flag or symbol of some sort. You could even just have the light glow of a light. Or 2 blue fusion coils for blue side, red exploding barrels for red side tucked in an eye catch area as you enter the room that would serve as a base/flag room.


    The building itself feels like it should be on the ground and not suspended in mid air. I think if you were to add aesthetics by not putting them on the map, you could put them around the map. Maybe have the building above a lush garden or surrounding one and make it look obvious that it is a map boundary, then use the soft kill (10 sec) boundary. You could even use some non exploding barrels around the map and color them brown, you could really play the map up like its a wine house around a vineyard, especially to compliment the vines and walls of your map.

    Please note that I do love the layout of your map, but it does feel unfinished for the ideas I added above. To maybe understand deeper what I mean, I suggest grabbing the map Brutalist, it is recently popular. Go onto that map in forge and remove or mentally remove all of the outer stuff that would not change how the map played. You would feel as if you were in a very different environment. With Halo 5's forge I honestly think adding some of these ideas or some of your own, are what would take your map from great to incredible.
