This is my first competitive map I've made in Halo 5 (and to a greater extent...ever). Since most of my maps revolve around Sonic the Hedgehog, I figured his EDGY counterpart Shadow could serve as good theme for a competitive map, and so Westopolis was born.
I created this map with the look and feel of Westopolis during its destruction by the invading Black Arms. However, I limited the destruction to ensure that mobility and longer sightlines were maintained. Because the map sports longer sightlines, the few close range weapons on the map are upgraded to give it an edge (Shotgun -> Lawgiver; Suppressor -> Song of Peace [2x]; SMG -> Long Barrel [2x]).
Strongholds sports different power-ups and weapon pads that make it easier to deal with vehicles camped up in a stronghold.
Due to budget constraints, the map turned out a bit smaller than I was hoping for. I chose the vehicles with this in mind, ensuring each team had a multi-seat vehicle to condense the players a little. However, I still feel it is a viable big team battle map.
Like I said, this is my first competitive map, so I'd appreciate all constructive criticism and even nitpicks (so please don't only say "This sucks,' tell me why it does). I can make some changes depending on what they are. *Further detailing will be nigh impossible due to budget constraints and forge bugs*
I'll be trying to keep an eye on this map to ensure future bugs don't tear it a new one. I'd appreciate any comments or Xbox messages telling me if any of these show their ugly faces.
P.S. Since this is an urban map, I even added a few scripted traffic signals that change periodically throughout the map.
