High-pressure pipes, rotating platforms, pistons, and exposed gears fill this flooded ruin. Welcome to Torvus Clockwork, a FFA Slayer map based on a steampunk-ified take on the Torvus Bog from Metroid Prime 2. (Inspired by a remix of the same name by DarkeSword.)
It's built outside the Tidal canvas, which allows it to be partially submerged and partially above water while allowing free movement between the two. There are no trait differences between them, but the surface of the water can provide a bit of camouflage from opponents on the other side of it.
One-way pipes connect the three outer rooms in a ring. A well-timed slide and thrust will let you keep most of your momentum and speed through a room into the next pipe, which can make for a good escape option. However, it's also easy to camp the exits of these pipes or booby-trap them with a Splinter Grenade, so be wary of relying on them too heavily.
Each outer room has a side passage that leads back into the central chamber, but at a different elevation. Take note of the colors and lights above the doors to keep yourself oriented.
Despite the flooding, many of the gears and pistons are still in motion. Use them as platforms, lifts, or cover, but take care that they don't carry you into more danger than you were in before.
Special thanks to ExTerrestr1al for help with the scripting and Fredlllll for advice on gameplay balancing.
Note: due to the way H5F has difficulty with spinning objects, things may not always work as intended. In most cases, however, this will not affect gameplay. I've been told that it runs more smoothly on an Xbox One X.
