    Whats up gamers :3 !!!!

I decided to help out some of the new forgers out there and create a quick and easy realistic forest template, due to the limitations of halo 5's forge I wasn't able to put the amount of detail I wanted without running into some framerate issues (The template runs smoothly in its current state) I hope you guys like and I hope to help out some new forgers!!! :)

    10/5,
I thought I was actually outside for a second while looking at these screenshots. Then my dookie broke off and toilet water splashed on my balls snapping me back to reality

    10/10 should wipe again
  2. Okay so before I get into this review I want to quickly mention that the issues I'll be listing in this review shouldn't be taken directly to heart on a personal level, nor should it discourage you from forging in the future.
With that being said, shall we begin.

Pros: As the map name claimed, this is indeed a forest template. It has a very distinguished theme, that being of a forest and helps avoid confusion towards players. You selected a good range of screenshots to present your template and chose the description, accordingly.

Cons: Sadly the template did not live up to it's claim of being remotely realistic, and despite what was stated in the description I did in fact experience severe frame rate related issues. Whilst your selected items were true in nature to your template, the way you presented them completely killed any immersion I had whilst exploring it. Your use of grass did not contrast well with your selected rocks and trees and the fog completely consumed the template in a thick mist. What should have been experienced as a vibrant, beautiful forest was in fact just a haze of flat lime and blotched rocks. It seemed hugely dissapointing to see you simply copy and pasted items around your map. Your trees looked like a terracotta army rather than a natural paradise, every tree was in the same position with not even the slightest of positioning changes. Your grass much the same, however given the ridiculously large amounts you placed it actually proved too difficult to often look at. At one end of the template you had even gone so far as to submerge some of your trees as to give the illusion of bushes being within the distance. Whilst I understood this was an attempt to make your template feel larger and more floral in nature, something Forgers often do, I was in fact deeply insulted to see it was a lazy one at that. The same can indeed be said for your layout of the template itself. Though it was clear time had been put into crafting your rocky border, the interior of the template was completely flat and barren. There wasn't a rock or slight incline to be found, just more of the sickly grass and printed trees. Overall the template was just barren, confusing and a very lazy and poorly executed attempt at a natural build. Hugely dissapointing I must confess.

Improvements: Remember to always add hills and bumps within natural builds, even if they are just small ones. Forests are often like tiny mountain ranges as logs, rocks and dirt mounds litter the area creating a vastly uneven landscape. Try to keep in mind your use of trees and how they fit in within an environment, pine trees often grow their leaves high above ground and will bend and lean as they are shaped by the landscape. By just adding small adjustments to the positioning and rotations of your trees they can create a very real sense of immersion. Always remember that no two trees will ever grow or look the same. Avoid using heavy amounts of grass within natural builds as they can quickly overpower a map, very often less is more when it comes to grass and other small natural pieces. This will also prevent strains on your frame rate. Also when creating any border for a natural build never forge rock walls, try to manipulate and position the rocks in a way so they look like cliff sides or rocky hills rather than a bland, unatural wall. Lasty keep in mind what fog choices you select for a natural build. Remember that fog is the weather and atmosphere of your build. If your build is wet and rainy the fog will be more light and grainy, unless of course it is a heavy storm. If the build features a sunrise, you might have a more soft looking mist as the morning dew rises into the air. Every detail you create in forge has impact on your builds, never be afraid to experiement and try out new ideas. You have to always put your heart into forge, no more sloppy or lazy builds. We want to see vast, detailed builds from you. You certainly have enough potential and with enough practice and dedication we know you'll deliver!

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to be a serious "Harshest critic". That natural talent doesn't come easy, and yes, I may occasionally suck on the winky of Sins but it's only for the greater good; that being to hunt down amateur forgers.

To be honest you'd be surprised at how many brits are lacking in the teeth department.
