Map Description

Just spent 8 hours on this - this version has temporary textures and coloration, as well as weapon placements and objective spawns. Rudimentary intro/outro shots included.

    **Morning Update**

Geometry is 95% complete, will be updating continually.
Art is... well, a bit of a mess, really. Atmosphere is essentially correct, but need to fix coloration and textures for better visibility.

Inspired by the likes of Construct, Citadel, and the H2 forerunner aesthetic in general, this map may be more ideally suited to Classic game modes - while sprinting is useful, it does not fit the tone (but hey, haven't play tested it so w/e).

I will be tweaking it here and there over the next week.

Yeah there's a lot wrong with it, but still chugging along with updates, especially for the art. I'll post some layouts and fog-free screens later tonight

I had a walk around the map and I like the look and feel of it. Don't ask me how I feel it plays cause I never get a chance to do that these days.

I know this is a WIP so I'll just remind you to get those blockers in so that you can't escape the map the way you currently can. The other thing I wanted to mention, keeping in mind that this is just a personal preference, is between the sun set and the glowing lights I find the bulk of the map leaves me overwhelmed by glare. I love the look of the sunset but certain maps make me more aware of it, and this is one. Maybe it's just the combo of it and your lighting choice that has exacerbated it for me. I think there are only a few lights that don't come with the glow effect forcibly enabled. It's an issue that has screwed me out of many a lighting choice. I think switching to a simpler light or crafting your own is a better choice as it will allow you to control the light more freely.

    Keep up the good work.

Will do, thanks for the feedback!

Yeah, playtesting is a *****, especially considering no one I know owns the game, and it looks like the testing lobby threads here all died months ago...

Anyway, I'll look into that lighting ASAP.

Also, how did you manage to escape? Was it the snowy cliff on the low walkway?

I've already forgotten. I do remember it was at the edge of the map and it was a cliff I climbed. I feel like it was more mid to upper map though. then again that could just be because I climbed up to the top of the map from there.
