Welcome to PhaseShift, my FINAL forge map in Halo 5. It brings forth a unique mechanic for competitive gameplay, making it almost a 4-dimensional experience in tactics. Shift or teleport yourself at will between different time periods to flank your opponents (Moon phase: a world encased in ice; Sun phase: a world thawed, full of life). Just beware, your ethereal presence remains on the other world to be tracked. Several pathways and weapons are only available in specific worlds, so use them to your advantage. This was designed for MAX 2v2 Slayer.
I have to give MAJOR props to @JonesSeries for being the mastermind behind the incredible scripting mechanics experienced here, and special thanks to @Ascend Hyperion's lobby, @Max Extra's lobby, @Unsorted Gaming for a special feature and everyone else that helped test and improve its fun factor.
IMPORTANT NOTES: There is a 6 second cool-down between teleports so people don’t spam it AND it provides an (albeit brief) opportunity for you to pick up a weapon. Halo 5 mechanics unfortunately dictate your power-up trigger overrides the weapon pickup ability when it follows you, so just keep that in mind in your team’s strategy. Also, teleports won’t function if you are wedged against a wall, corner, or inside of a “blocked doorway” (highlighted by tufts of grass) in the other time phase, so keep that in mind. This map took quite a while to perfect and I hope you all enjoy it! Stay forge-thirsty my friends.
