Map Description

  1. CertifiedChamp
    Hoodlum is a 4v4 KoTH map originally designed around classic settings. This most current iteration of Hoodlum utilizes the standard warthog as one of it's 'power weapons', but with better integration this time around. While not integral, the warthog can prove to be quite formidable in the right hands, or simple serve as a bit of dumb fun. This map has and will likely continue to be improved upon in the future but this will be the last version of this map in Halo 5.

    Hoodlum! Champ has been experimenting and iterating with this interior/exterior style of map, and Hoodlum is the result of that learning experience.

    It has a very simple, streamlined, and controlled layout that offers very unique encounters. It has plenty of jumps and less-than-obvious routes that allow players to move creatively. It also has a warthog that allows that casual fun, while still serving a competitive purpose.

    I like the look of the map, but I have a problem with the silly death pit. There's an elevator shaft just a building over that you can drop down/lift up, so how is a new player supposed to know that some orange cones indicate death? Otherwise I like the map, but that specific part annoyed me.

    That's the point lol, it's meant to be kinda dumb but if it becomes an issue I'll definitely look into it

    Btw I hate the fact that you used hard kills as upper boundaries. They're beyond infuriating on any map they're implemented into.

    Well, the only way you'll ever hit them is if you're trying to break the map and get launched by a vehicle or something, so I don't see how it would ever be an issue unless you can hit them by accident, which Ill fix if you can. It's mostly just a way to save objects, since I've been told that even invisible barriers can cause frames

    I ran around on this map and I thought that warthog ramp over the bridge was really fun. Really pleasant looking map, well done!
