I recently rebuilt Hoodlum from the ground up to improve both gameplay and art.
The map features a better integrated Warthog route which was made to be one way and linear which is meant to encourage the hog to move around the map more. The Warthog route itself features a cinematic jump which lands the Warthog in one of the three hill locations that the hog will need to pass through with each full circuit.
I also took the opportunity to drastically improve aspects of the layout in an effort to make individual engagements less flat and more interesting. The general layout is the same but the streets were made wider for the hog, and the map taller to allow for more varied gunfights. The building interiors are far more open, which I do miss but was a needed change to make building play more appealing. The road features a large ramp that leads to the Caster spawn and cuts off the Warthog route through the middle of the map and allow players to better push the middle hill. The building with the balcony is also now a room that sits above the middle hill to help either push or defend that position. I cut most of the Yellow/Green building as it served more as empty space. The changes I have listed are not everything that I have changed; the changes that were made served to both improve gunfights and to make hills easier and more interesting to push and defend, allowing for sweatier setups and team pushes.
Due to the restrictive weapon selection of Mythic settings, the only weapon pick ups are:
H2 BR (ammo pickups) x4
