    Your fight shall belong to history...
    Honorarium is my submission for the ForgeHub 1v1 contest. It's primary goal is provide a layout that allows for variation in play without being heavy handed in it's influence. The layout is rather straight-forward, asymmetrical and instead of traditional power weapons, I take advantage of the power of automatics.

    Since autos are not trash in this game, I decided that instead of over-saturating such a small place space with weapons, why not offer players the chance to alter their play dynamic. Autos are easy to use and predictable enough but offer you an extended option beyond your Magnum start. The idea is simple and is geared towards making sure players are focused on their own abilities and not easy kills.

    Artistically, Honorarium takes place in a long abandoned mountain shrine. The shrine was built to honor the death of a great Knight commander who died fighting along side his men. In this band of Knight's culture, when a commander died in battle, his men were to construct a large stone monument in his honor, often in the form of his sword. This map combines both simplistic medieval design with fantasy elements to create a space that lives and breaths the air of respect and worship.

    "Go quick squire, for no haste can meet this demand. Relay a message to our King. The savages have proven more resistant than imagined. We have chased them from Golvenstead but we fear this was by design not desire. Our commander, Artilius has indeed issued his final command. The 13th know we are honor bound to the conclusion of this battle. We will see this pass captured for there will be no mistake. We will run these brutes back to Valengrad and burn it to the ground".

    If a player knows where the blockers are placed, they can break out of the map quite easily. It's the fallen free side of the map and requires a thrust launch up the side of a rock. I also found a more lengthy way of exiting out the other side, but I doubt that it'll come into play. Felt like you should know.

    Thanks for that heads up. I hadn't replaced the hard-kill ceiling and the cliff hard-kill wall. They're back in now.

    Played this the other night, and it was good fun! The random guy who joined was crap, but I could tell the areas would be great for gun battles between better players.

    *I did notice there was a time when I respawned and got a default camera way out from the map, FYI.
