Dead Body Cleaner-Upper

Map Description

Place this prefab beneath your map, enough that no one will interact with it or see it normally. It should be able to make a mostly vertical trip to find a dead player's body to incinerate with its fire effect.

Just one piece! (delete the chroma - forge forces you to use two pieces)

Just two scripts! (does not use any channels, labels etc.)

Just place one at this time. Not compatible with multiples.

    10/5,
Fantastic light weight script. Looking into implementing this into Grifball courts.

If only I had Live, I could use this for so many ideas.

install PC Forge!!! it is much better for forging and customs games aren't bad either (though, a lot of the randoms really suck to play with and against, but that's just humanity being humanity)

It's alright I was way ahead of you on that one, just installed it yesterday.
Gonna take a little while to get used to the controls, that's providing my laptop doesn't crash on me all the time haha.

Turns out we can't use this for Grifball. The problem is players tend to die way up in the air in Grifball. The Flame FX may travel through other players on the way to the body.

Did a quick test with a single respawn point under a kill volume, with an instant respawn time. You can see the shields going down on the respawning player as the flame passes by.

As you can see from the key frame, the player has respawned before his body hits the floor to simulate other players in close proximity.

Darn, yeah griff can be very volitile. Maybe try placing item above map and adjustingthe move offset to be above player by a few units?

There may also be ablevel of conplexity tjat could be added, where azone on the ground detemimes when a body is eligible for attacking... i have part of this done for another forger, might be able to adapt for gb...

Like a hill that detects living players and pauses the movement until it's clear.

Main concern that players have 10% health and no shields in Grifball so this has to function perfectly.

@NOKYARD this should be pretty darn close to perfect... I deleted spawns and other scripts on Sidegrinder, and set up a testbed.

if you like this I can prefab it up for you or change it up some more...

A zone across the whole floor numbers deads that are inside the zone (near floor). If someone quickly (within first few sec of dying) hammers the body and sends it flying out of the floor-zone, it should de-tag it and not send a fire fx to it.

Fx offset to -7 to the body, so does not hurt a spartan standing over body...
