Map Description

  1. lNeedMoreBleach
    crossbow is a heavy re-imagining or halo 4's longbow taking various aspects of longbow while implementing new areas to create a layout that hold elements of longbow but brings out a new form and new experience that can stand apart from the original.

    kaweki 22 also help in making the map


    The map has undergone a large update

    This major update is based around improving all of the maps weakest areas.

    The technical changes consist of.

    1. spawning improvements.
    2. greatly improved performance/frame rate drops
    3. lighting adjustments.
    4. art work.


    The biggest area to see change is the bases.

    changes.
    1. entrances being added and moved.
    one door was added to the bases and another was re-positioned. This was done to have better movement into and out of the bases.

    2. large sight line blocker added to the front exterior of the bases.
    The addition of the large pipe structure created a lot of blocked line of sights which changes depending on the angle of you're approach. This allows players to navigate around the bases without being exposed from as many lines of sight.

    3. vehicle access.
    previously vehicles where unable to enter the majority of the bases. This has been changed and now the mongoose, ghost, warthogs have full access of the bases. The mantis is restricted and is unable to enter the base.

    4. Dynamic doors.
    The large base bay doors now have a one time use opening event and begin closed at the start of
    each match.

    5. objective positions.
    The assault and ctf objective positions where move to the front center of the bases to improve pushes from all angles. This decreased the bases defend-ability and allowed for better objective movement.

    The other area of the map to undergo change is the back tunnel and terrain plateaus.

    1. The tunnel.
    The tunnel was and is a vehicle intended route but was overly difficult for infantry to move though and the change that it saw was a large back platform that players can utilize as cover from passing vehicles.

    2. The terrain plateaus.
    The change was a simple addition of a ramp for vehicles.

    Crossbow is an exciting successor to Longbow! It has some well thought out elevation with risky routes that blend in very well. One of the best looking maps out there when it comes to BTB, that is truly an accomplishment in itself. I have watched this map change a bit over the last year and the author has worked tirelessly in effort to perfect it. One of the better experiences for Big Team Battle. Well done!

    Just took a look at this in forge, what an accomplishment! Would love to see this in matchmaking. I really like the structural additions you made to the map, it resolved a lot of the issues I had with the original design. Well done guys!

    given how the map played in the testing lobby, i felt i wamted to bring a concern that from 1 position u can see every entrance out of the bases which when the spawns were forced into the bases in made it very difficult to push out and with the shape of the map being an oval, it focused the spawns within those bases.

    ive already addressed this to you and i urge u to give those bases a better design and tighten the map to also help your fr issues.

    Well there was a spawn issue in that game where a major spawn volume on each side outside of the bases weight was lowered and this greatly increased the rate at which people where spawning inside of the bases. Ive also added a little bit of cover to one of the entrances and relocated a few spawns for inside to outside.

    I under stand your point and do to a flawed test im not acting on it as of now untill i see it happen again. But being able to see all the exits of the base isnt a huge problem since they are rather large but i will keep it in mind if it does become troublesome.


    I am listening and im implementing improvements but a complete rehall of the bases is unnecessary as far as i see atm.
