1v1 Slayer

Map Description

  1. I MetaBreaker I
    Pipes go on and on. Liquid drips from above. Puddles stir at your footsteps. Steam screams by you, escaping their metal tubes. Dust floats lazily by. You can see your own hurried breath.

    And you're not alone.

    Taking heavy inspiration from Damnation, my newest map, Conduit.

    You should immediately see from the blocky architecture and massive pipes the connections to CE. As a long-time player of MCC, I've taken to that building style, and I still can't shake it. I just love the simplistic look too much.

    The walkway in the distance in the first image is one of the central points players run to, because of the useful sightlines and positioning. To combat this, this position is difficult to defend, and difficult to escape.

    Along with that, the best weapons on the map are found further from that power point, driving players to find those tools before assaulting the walkway.

    Not the issue, it's the fact that everything is one color, a darker color at that which makes the shadows even darker

    I think white emissive overlays could give your lights more unique shape from one another. I recommend subtly changing the floor's color to be different from the walls. Cool shapes!

    Emissive is an overlay that you can put on things like wall or block pieces. It makes the object glow brightly, so setting the overlay to 1 works well. Such objects can be phased just over your light sources and give them more defined shapes along the walls. Give it a try, they have many uses.
