Woken up from a long hiatus and with the welcoming of the Cartographer's Gift's update, I'm back into Forge with new identity and a lot of ideas, plenty of them. The hard part was to decide which idea I wanted to create first, but it was really simple. Since always I've wanted to recreate the largest map ever made for the first XBL Halo experience: 'Containment'; however, the power of older Forges weren't strong enough to accomplish that goal.
With the idea of maintain the same emplacement which worked perfect for Halo 2, I tried to redesign the bases and the map layout to adjust them to the Halo 5 mechanics, putting more obstacles to overcome and new pathways. Like the original one, I put a working bay door to encourage the teams to overwhelm the enemy base.
There are a lot of high tier weapons around the map, but the key weapons are the Snipers and the Spartan Laser. Vehicles as the Scorpion and the Banshee return to this version, but I changed the Warthog Gauss for a double: Chaingun Warthog and Gungoose.
Focused on the aesthetics to make the map look more real, I spent a lot of FX, props and light baking, reducing the map to only support BTB. Hope someone can test this map with 8v8, which is the optimal count. I tested it with a 5v5 and it worked well, but action becomes slow at times.
