Aside from the tiny pictures, this map looks sweet. You've done a great job of re-creating the look and feel of an arcade. I can instantly tell what each machine is and what sort of game you'd be likely to play on it.

By far the best one is the dance game, looks sweet.

It's also very original, I haven't yet seen anyone else create an arcade, you've got my download and an epic thumbs up/high five.

Zatherla, watch out, you've got competition.

You have twenty four (24) hours to make this post up to Forge Hub standards. These standards include:
A thread thumbnail showing your map
    A description
    A working download link
    Pictures (at least 3 recommended)
Any other information you would like to include

A screenshot posting guide is found at the link below.

Yep, I know what you mean. I've seen this exact same thing made by someone called: Squidman33. Idk if you stole his ideas, or what, but most of this looks the same.
  6. its not the same i put in way more than just a couple of arcade games. I put in a bar and about 13 arcade machines i worked really hard on this map so please say something nice instead of say that i stole this map from Squidman33

Did you get the permission for this map? Most of these are identical to the ones on squidman's arcade map. And it looks as if you though that adding a few of your ideas to it would be just fine. I'm not sure on how the staff will go about this, but it doesn't even look like you tried to change some of the games.

A lot of attention has been raised about the legitimacy of this map. Now, we can't just let challenges like this go unanswered, and since I had absolutely nothing better to do, I decided to snoop around, investigative journalism-style. I've been there and back, and even brought pictures. So, let's shed some light on this debate, shall we?

Here is an overview of the map in question, and if you scroll over it you'll see the map by SquidMan33 that has allegedly been copied. Compare the two.

As you can clearly see, they share the same idea, but different layouts. Thus, the creator of this map didn't build onto another map. We can rule that out. Though, there is still more to this argument.

The possible perpetrator did indeed almost directly copy the "games" from Squid's map, as shown in the following evidence. Whether this is him drawing "Inspiration" or a more sinister duplication is up to the viewer to decide. The following pictures are from the map "Arcade", please compare them to the above screenshots.

Hmm. Interesting, no? Though I can't directly say that it's "stealing", it's clearly just him taking from one map and duplicating in another. Now, people take ideas from other maps all the time, but they usually do them a bit differently, and never in such great numbers.

Though, the maker of The Fun Center didn't only copy other ideas, he also added a few aesthetic touches of his own, proving he did "add his own touch" so to speak.

So, this appears to me to be one creator emulating an artist he enjoys, like a painter painting his version of his favorite famous painting. Whether or not this is a blatant breakage of the rules is clearly a more semantic argument, one I'm sure will be sorted out in due time by the proper moderation staff. This post was just to clear up the misconception that he simply took the "Arcade" and added his own to it. Look into something a bit deeper before you make a completely judgment call like that, though I suppose the idea could be easily created given the similarities between the two maps.

The map looks as if much of it would only appear in Forge.

\That is the point of this map. :)

It isn't meant to be played as a competitive, it is meant to be a showcase of the forgers ingenuity, originality and forge skill. :)

I can actully figure out what most of these are without any explanation, which is good, but a little more info could help. Like the toy grabber and the shooting ranges!
