Find Your Calling...Testing, Reviewing, or Customs!

The TRC Guild is a large, 3-part community. Please look through each section carefully before deciding what you want to be a part of.

In short summary: the Tester Guild will require, at minimum 5 hours of your time per week, so don't apply if you can't meet the requirements. The Tester Guild is kind of like the family, and being the biggest of the three sections, will probably take the most consistent time and requirements.

The Review Hub is currently not available. When it does become available, you will have to put in a decent amount of time playing finished maps. Along with that you will have to be good at writing reviews off a 1-10 scale, and do it often. The Review Hub will open shortly, please wait patiently.

The Customs Lobby is the most 'random' of all, no consistent time will be taken from you, you can make or join whatever games you like. The Customs Lobby is mainly for fun, but read the rules before posting!

You can find your calling in one or more of our three sections, just read the above, take a look around each, and decide. Note that you can theoretically join two or all of the sections, but you will need to dedicate time and effort to all, and it can be extremely tough to do multiple things that require time.

You can find applications to the Tester Guild and Review Hub in their respective child boards. Please carefully read over the stickies so that you understand everything.

If you have any questions or comments, please contact Insane54 over Private Messaging.

Just a quick questions....would this apply for FarCry2 customs as well, and other games too, or just halo?

Otherwise, great idea, finally implemented...some big changes around FH,.....

I'm interested in Reviewing and playing customs. Can I do both?

Ah, the Review Hub days.
We did kinda try to keep it alive, but our methods just weren't working out.
We need to vote for a new Review Hub leader, or someone that will run it. I'd actually like that, a lot.

I already do reviews on maps usualy I contact the maker of the map directly instead of writing a big mess up but you know how I work Insane. I think 5 hours isnt to bad although I guarentee 5 hours is more than enough to test and give propper feed back to the map maker and general public that might be interested in a particualar map. 1-10 scale seems reasonable although we should make sure that we give reasons why a map is a 10 or a map a 1 no "its awsome" or "Its crap" if you think its a "1" give ways to the author how he should improve the map in your opinion.

The customs section I find a bit unneeded or ridiculous. Too much organisation for what opening up the guide and throwing a round of invites. That's just me though.

The review hub board and testers guild is great. I just don't really see the organised custom parties really working or going to plan. It's like a Mini-TGIF and they rarely go as they are planned.

Yes well you are one of the lucky ones who will have mates on that will come to join your game whenever you want to play.

There's a lot of truth to that.

Most of the time I'm rarely in TGIF style parties. Most of the time I'm with 2 or 3 people. They invite someone, then they invite someone else and eventually the party grows.
Truth be told, I really enjoy the smaller parties more. You can actually hear people.

You raised and excellent point Waylander good sir.
I do remember when it took me half an hour to get a party of 8 going. I sort of retract what I say.
