ForgeHub's Tester's Guild Interview Form
Step two: Be patient and wait for a reply from one of the leaders of the Tester's Guild.
- If you have any general questions about the interview process, post in this thread.
- If you've filled out the form and have not received a reply within one week post here.
Recruits have a two week threshold to show they want to be in the guild and are up to the guild's standards. Recruits must perform exactly like a regular member of the guild and doing things such as signing up for scheduled test sessions, posting feedback, and being mature. In the time of two weeks, the recruits must attend at least four test sessions and post feedback for those tests. Recruits do not receive stars as normal. After the two week period ends, a leader will analyze the recruits' feedback during the two weeks. If a recruit has no tested and given written feedback for at least four maps, he/she will be removed from the guild roster. If the written feedback is not up to standards, he/she will be removed from the guild roster.
Additional things to know when joining the Tester Guild:
When you are a Tester, you are a representative of the Guild. If you show to be a bad example, you will be booted off the Guild. Avoid infractions at any cost. In that vein, people with Warned status will be at a severe disadvantage to receiving stars. If you get the Banned status for a good reason (not by mistake or misunderstanding), you will be booted from the Guild and your rank stripped. Basically, act mature on ForgeHub and abide by all rules.
Requirements:
- Testers must test and give written feedback for at least 2 maps per week.
- The minimum age to become a tester is 13.
If you do not fulfill any of these requirements, you may not join under any circumstances. Failure to maintain these requirements, without reasonable explanation, will have you booted from the guild.
Testers receive the following advantages:
- Signatures, avatars, or and user bars that advertise your membership - Full Members and higher are allowed to have their name on theirs.
- Testing maps before release
- Fun parties hosted by our leaders
- Helping people
Testers may opt to participate in a weekly Tester's Session, where we can test or just play together, to get to know each other better. You do not need to participate in these to become a Tester, but it helps your cause, and we meet each other. These are called the SNP and FNP (Saturday Night Party and Friday Night Party), signups will be available on the board. Also optionally, you can Subscribe to the Tester forums, and get notified whenever a new post is created. Either way, check this board at least daily.
If you are a Full Member of the Guild, you can get a free, personalized signature! If your in the Guild at all (Recruit rank or higher), you are able to use a minibar. Links to signatures are next to each member's name, and the minibar is below. To put yours in your signature, right click on the image and press Copy Image Location. Then go to Quick Links>Edit Signature, and type the following:

The Star System goes as follows: your Senior and Administrative members will decide on when members will receive or lose stars. Once you receive four stars, you will be promoted to the next rank with no stars. For example, HaloLolPerson has just joined. He will join like so: HaloLolPerson. Let's say he does a good job for a little, we award him a star. He's now HaloLolPerson*. When he gets to HaloLolPerson***, his next star promotion will make him Junior Member with no stars. Stars are a way to show your loyalty to the Guild. Stars will be given or removed quite often.
If you have any trouble with a tester, not limited to, but including, any of the following (playful insults don't count):
- Personal Insults ("You and your extended family should die of starvation in a desert")
- Nonconstructive Map Criticism ("Your map sucks")
- Doesn't Listen to Rules or Requests of Host (Grenade jumping when host already has stated not to do so, or cheating in a map when the host says not to, etc)
Then send me a private message. I want to know if any of our Testers are undeserving of the title.
