I would start freelance testing but being a part of this community would have its privledges so I'm being a patient patient right now....

If we have applied and are (hopefully) waiting acception, are we allowed to perhaps help test? e.g someone needs 8 people to test a map, only 6 have applied and it is nearing test time. could we offer ourselves as back up if no one else tests and just not get invited if we are not needed? it seems that could help forgers when low on testers

It's not required of you to join the Testers Guild to test maps. If you want you can just test maps without joining, but there are disadvantages. Such as: Forge will required to type in your gt to invite you, you won't be in our awesome exclusive skype conversations, you won't get the full benefit of making friends with testers, and you won't be a Forge Hub Testers Guild Member.

Its still not bad whilst waiting for acception =) might try that then, plus it'd prove that the person was serious
