Default How To: Post Pics - Flickr Style!

Ok I admit I stole Fbu name of the thread but still I like it and so will you.
This Tutorial will show you how to upload your photos to and from Flickr,

In this tutorial I will show you. How to upload from your computer to Flickr, How to get them pictures onto anywebsite and how to scale them for "ForgeHub" Lets get started.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The first thing you need to do is goto http://www.flickr.com, to get started you need a Yahoo ID! you can get this on the homepage by either hitting on Create Your Account or if you already have one hit the little Sign In button at the top right.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Uploading to Flickr!
Next you should go ahead and hit Upload photos on your main page if you signed in but if you created a account you will be at the main upload page.

When on the main upload page hit Upload Photos, then hit your Halo Pictures

Once uploaded make sure the Privacy is set to public, then go ahead and hit Upload Photos. Depending on how many you have it will take time but normally around 3-10 Seconds a pictures. Once all done hit on Add a description. This will take you to our next step.

This is the hardest part but not that hard so i'm not going to hold your hand! Just look for Add to a Set, then click on create a new set (Standard Users are limited to 3 Sets so I recommend creating a set called Halo Maps and uploading them all there I called mine Random Halo Pictures)

Depending on if you want, you can add tags so for all them people who search on Flickr they will pick them up but this is optional.

From here hit Save This Batch!

Now the only reason I use Flickr is because it organises all you photos like this. Thats why we add to a set and add description etc. Also it gives you 100mb a month to play around with and also it doesn't delete your pictures and they will copy your pictures to a backup server just incase anything happened to them!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Uploading to Forgehub!

Go ahead and hit on whatever picture you want to upload so you get this, All you need to do is right click and hit propeties (IE7) and you will see some IMG code like this

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3276/...a42387.jpg?v=0

Remove the ?v=0 so it look like this http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3276/...14e6a42387.jpg

then copy this and hit on the icon here and paste that new jpg code in there

Once you do that you will get your image appear and resized ready to use.

From this moment there is no html button on the site to give you the proper code. If you find it and it works in the Insert Image button use it that way. I will update this when ever I find easier steps.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is kinda hard but worth it, As for the sets you don't have to make them but it does make things alot easier (Remember Free Users can only make 3 sets) So make 1 called Halo Pictures and upload them all there

Very nice tutorial, I'm sure it will come in-handy for the Internet challenged.
