Race Track Name: Temporal Spring

Map Name:
Sandbox

Gametype: Bungie.net : Halo 3 File Details

Description: This is my first sandbox racetrack which I am fully satisfied about. besides that this is also the first time i sketched out the map before starting to build. If you want to know what the map looks like then check out the pictures or video

Pictures: in spoiler

What inspired your creation?
I dont really get inspired by anything. I just feel like forging sometimes and start up a map.

How long did it take to create? 1week in real life and about 12hours in-game

What aspect took the longest to get right? the finish. I first had a steep drop there which worked 100% of the time. though... it wasnt steep enough. so people could drive back up. So I tried out some other stuff and ended up with placing some shield doors to bounce your way down :)

Great track its alot of fun. i played ten laps this is what i got

nice inter locks btw

the start is merged nicely with the dune also its nice and smooth. the the slope that you go down into the bank turn is also smooth though after that its got a couple bumps not many though then you proceed to the next turn to a nice shield door jump that lands you fairly smoothly without a loss of speed next you come up to a anothor merged section except this hill goes upward its fairly smooth tiny bumps but no loss of speedyou then go down a small slope to a turn thats also smooth at the end you get propelled by man cannons then hit a shield dorr that pushes you down to anothor one incredbly smooth i could not belive how well you keep speed there then you go around a turn in the dunes and restart

pros:pretty smooth for the most part. amazing use of shield doors. maintain a high speed takes about 30 seconds to get to the finish line.lots of fun.

cons:if you fall off its sort of difficult to get back on you should put a tele back to the start, nvm its in the crypt you should put it up top though took me a while to find =s. othor than that its fine.

Looks fun. I like how the track is a combination between sky sections and floor sections forged on the dunes themselves. I will have to DL to see how it holds up. I notice that some of the jumps have shield door bounces that glide you back down onto the track. This looks fun. I just wonder how the handling will be. Well, after I race the map I will come back with some direct comments on the track. Looks good and nice over head pics.
