Description: This is a rough terrain course. This map was designed to test the racers mongoose skills. You won't find any grav or shield door assisted turns, nor any man cannons to boost you along. It is just you, your mongoose, and your driving skill. Don't let the course fool you, it isn't as easy as it looks, especially with other racers racing beside you. Racers will have to practice this course and do multiple laps to find the best line to drive. The map supports eight racers and is cheat proof. The map also includes a huge jump over the finish line.

Other Features:
-I included teleporters as arrows to help navigate the you around if it is your first time on the track. Just look up in the sky if you can't figure it out. If you get lost, then quit playing.
-I also included a spectator area in the sky. There are two platforms. You gain access to these areas through the teleporters at the beginning, right before the ramp up to the finish line on top of the watch tower. There two seperate spectator areas. This is helpful for watching over tournaments.
Map Q and A:
What inspired your creation?
-- I wanted an outdoor map that made the racers use their driving skill and nothing else. I wanted a racetrack that allowed the racers to find the best line that worked for them. I think I accomplished a really fun almost all natural terrain racetrack. I wanted to make it challenging and fun to play on, especially when you get multiple racers on the track. I took the aspects of Speedway on Snowbound and Corners on Standoff and made it my own on Avalanche. You will find the feel of both of those maps, yet it will be completely different.
How long did it take to create?
--I would say around 15 hours. I spent a long time just driving around on Avalanche just trying to find the right path to make the track out of. I interlocked almost all of the boxes that were used as barriers to make it look good and not be so unforgiving if you ran into one. I also did a lot of lot of testing on the map to make it drivable while keeping the challenging aspect of it.
What aspect took the longest to get right?
-- There were a few things that took a long time to get right. Finding the right path to take took a while, but I don't think that was the longest. I would have to say the jump over the finish line. Dealing with Avalanche's rough terrain makes it hard to build off of. I had to keep building the ramp, trying new techniques to get it even and not too ride so rough. I finally got it how I wanted it, but then it was still a little too rough for my liking and other racers liking. So, I came up with a better solution, tore it all down, and re-built it for the last time. It is a lot smoother now.
