Assymetrical room-based MLG map. 2-6 players
Ever since I played NeXN's Chill Out remake, I wanted to make an asymmetrical room map that played somewhat like it, but also had its own distinctive features. I wanted it to PLAY WELL, and look good. I think I've accomplished that the best you can without distorting MLG gameplay too much. Although you can run 4v4s on this, I made it as an FFA, 1v1, or 2v2 map. There are only 4 start spawns set up, so I'm not sure where the extra four players would spawn in a 4v4.
There's only two 'power weapons' on the map, mauler and camo. They spawn on opposite sides of the map from eachother, and in a 1v1 both players will spawn next to one or the other. In a 2v2, both teams will spawn by either mauler or camo, so it will be up to them to decide how to use it. If they spawn by camo, they could pick it up right away and try and rush in and steal the mauler, or they might decide to hang back and pick it up when they see the other team with mauler getting close.
There are a total of 5 respawn areas on Prey, one for each corner of the map, or 'room', and one big one that takes up the whole map. This is to balance the spawns, and make it so you will never spawn by an enemy. Even though this may be distorted with anything more than 5-6 players, I still find it to be an effective spawn system.
