nice map. pretty good idea with the bottom center peice having the walls cave in. i think the damage mod. would be a pretty good idea to go clutch to wipe out the opp. team to help with the scores. but for the custom, do u just walk up to it and grab it or would u have to jump in? probly a stuid question. ill DL the game type and map. good job.

You just run up next up next to the custom to grab it (think the camo on Warlock from Halo 2).

Well, when I saw this map I was really interested; it looked like it had potential to be something unique.

Unfortunately, when I played it, I was a bit disappointed. I thought your center structure was unique and liked it. However, there's simply no way to get from bottom mid to top mid and that's a necessity when you've got as little cover there as you do. In one of the corners, the vertical 'wall corner' was cockeyed.

Also, I don't really think that the grav lifts seemed to fit into the overall continuity of the MLG theme. It was a nice try, but the way you incorporated them into the bases didn't seem to work out for me.

I guess the biggest thing for me was the extreme lack of cover. Yeah, you're supposed to have long lines of sight, but honestly, I counted 4, 5 seconds walking distance between cover in some places. And in MLG, with intense competition and strong teamshooting, that just spells instant death and unsatisfying gameplay.

I think you tried to replicate Onslaught but incorporate your own unique elements; a noble idea, but executed substandard.

In the end, that was the reason it didn't keep a spot on my harddrive.

I might not agree with everything you're saying but I see where you're going. I'm actually glad you posted this because your ideas will help me for my new map.

I'm going to make a new MLG map for the MLG Forgehub Contest and I'm trying to get a feel of what works and what doesn't.
