Tremor Gulch

When I started this map, I had only intended on making mandatory changes for the gametype so I could use it in my TGIF. I soon decided to put some time into it, and I rather enjoy how it turned out. I used all of the Fence Boxes, Open Double Boxes, and Bridges (not much else to work with), and used brace merging, ghost merging, and teardrop merging (my first attempt with the latter two) to get the pieces where they would be adequate for gameplay and aesthetics. While there are not a lot of forged items on the map, the map geometry makes up for it with great terrain and obstacles, perfect for Tremor & Mouse. (Choppers can get to every rock on the map, so if you see someone camping up there, get your fellow infected and take em out)

Bases have entrances blocked.

Ooooooooo, I'm sooo scared of "the big bad Chopper!!!" ...he's right behind me, isn't he??

Hey! I just paid that off!

Spinning's a good trick!

Oh Gravity, Where Art Thou?

Leap of faith

The old "Get back on. I promise I won't splatter you" predicament.

Warning: Playing chicken with Choppers is not recommended.

Thanks to everyone who helped test the map, and a special thanks to TyRant Hacker for making such inspiring Tremor & Mouse maps, and whose gametype I modified for Standoff.

I've never been a fan of tremors and mice, but this looks promising. I'll dl and get back to you. Also, the merges are really clean, just to let you know.

PS: your screenshot captions= hilarious.

Retaliation - Skybound - Cold Front - Mombasa Streets - WW3 Map Pack

Wow this looks like a good map for tremors and there are so little comments? whats up with that! whatever 5/5 for me i like the structure you put in there with the bridge and the open double box, also i like how you blocked off some of the doors in the map with fence box's also i agree with Flameblad3^ the captions are very funny.

Maybe I'm bias towards the originals, but it seems like it would suck to be the mice, for several reasons. the first is that, I'm assuming(and could be wrong, and if i am i apologize) when you die, you don't respawn. you just sit there and watch other people play. i can't speak for others, but i have always found that dull as dirt. also, it seems to me(and again, if i am wrong, please correct me) that the mice have no way to win. i have always hated these games. it's like playing chess against someone with no king, and in this case, pieces that can't be taken. i might be alone here, but i have never found that to be fun. That is why i prefer the CtF versions, as they fix both these problems.

however, these are all gripes about the gametype. the actual map looks good, and while it's not out of this world, i can tell you spent quite a bit of time designing the map in your head, making it work with this gametype. So, for people who like this kind of thing, i can imagine it being quite fun. the merging not only looks clean, but it's in the perfect spot for mongeese/choppers. there is enough "clutter" to make it fair, but not to make it cluttered. All in all good map, i'm just sad you're skill went to something like this XD

Or, on a happier note:

First of all, this isn't a "team" game. It's not simply Mice vs. Tremors. Sure, that's part of it, but the Mice are also competing with each other to be the last man standing. There is also the goal to survive the whole six minutes. The Mice don't respawn because there aren't enough Choppers on any Halo 3 map for infected Mice to operate. Any other option wouldn't be beneficial for gameplay. Also, you don't have to wait that long if you die anyway since the round is only 6 minutes, and the Mice don't usually last that long. And ultimately, if you don't want to sit and watch others play, don't die. ;)

Thanks for the input, everyone. I'm glad you're having fun with it.

I personally love these gametypes, and this one looks impressive. The great thing about this gametype is the balance of the vehicles. Moongooses are faster than choppers, and small, but choppers are better for turning, and have boost.

Ima give this a download,

2. Labyrinth - Testing
3. Courtyard - Forging

The link has been updated for the new version of the map that fixes a break, adds risky getaways, and eliminates a camping spot. Special thanks to TyRant Hacker and Cryptokid for finding the break.

I play this all the time in Customs to get a party going. It's always fun to lure the Tremors over the edge and wait at the top of ramps for them to boost over you. Overall nice merging, and the obstacles are also forged in very nice. Very fun gameplay. 5/5
