There are a couple things that I see wrong with this. (Yes, I tested it)

1. You fall at different rates while falling. Like if you dropped through the sender node to the receiver node, you slow down significantly, and your speed fluctuates up and down while you are falling. I don't know why it does that. It's pretty weird. It is probably because you put the receiver nodes facing up so you hit the wall. I think you should have put them face down. It makes it very unsmooth. If you did, then everyone would fall at one rate and then whomever gets the custom powerup falls faster.

2. The sender nodes at the bottom are to far apart. I have often landed in between them, then gotten zapped by Zeus' lasers of death. Put them closer so that you can't miss them.

And then, friendly suggestion? I think that instead of making the bottom rectangle shaped, you should make it more square, and make it more like a funnel. I already see that it kind of it, but I just think you should make it bigger.

Lastly, as someone already said, maybe you should put powerups floating in the air. It would make gameplay a lot more interesting. Maybe even a few floating hammers so you can hit enemies away out of bounds so they land and get zapped. That would be entertaining. =)

Just a quick thought on adding hammers, if for example i grab a hammer and knock my mate flying he could (a small chance) land in the normal playing area of the map from which he would have to trek all the way to the edge to then die and start again. Personnaly i like it as is weapon wise and it is a very well thought out map.

Had a go on this with 6 people while we were waiting for another and was very enjoyable some guy got a triple kill by bouncing down the chain of people.

5/5 Great way to spend 10mins

Very great Idea and I love how you used weight to your advantage! Great Idea and I hope that the gameplay is as good as the Idea. You should make other links for the gametype then sword like sniper i'm not sure if that would be fun but you could also do shotgunor many other thing It is your choice man anyhow this is a great map and idea!

I made this to prevent as much lag as possible. Speed causes lag in Halo 3 and it can get really bad if everybody's falling at 100 mph. And the person who gets the custom powerup does fall faster. Even though each player will stop at the teleporters, the custom powerup makes them accelerate faster than normal players.

Yes, I have already seen this problem, but I made them all inline with the respawns on top of the map... So I'd have to redo the entire map if I wanted to change that part. I might do it... but most likely not since it doesn't seem to be too big of an issue (plus the guardians don't take away from your score, they only make you lose time).

I have already made the funnel type area, but I don't think I can make it any larger for fear of adding more space in between each teleporter.

I don't see how making powerups float in the air would do anything to the gameplay. I personally prefer them on the ground so that I don't have to worry about doing anything besides killing for those 8 1/2 seconds in mid-air.

I don't think i'll add that gametype, because I'm not sure if they'd even get the point for knocking them out of bounds... I think the guardians would.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll be making a few tweaks in the upcoming weeks, so keep giving constructive criticism!

That would definetly change things up a bit. You would have to have a fast sensitivity though because if your looking up you'd have to look down once you go through the teleporter. Good job though.
Have you used a teleporter before? It resets your view to wherever the flashing arrow on the teleporter is facing.

And Erico, the map looks awesome, both aesthetically and gameplay wise. It reminds me of Slip n' Slide, the map on Narrows. A very original idea, very well executed. Great job, man. I love the look of this map.

8/10.

Output v2 - Courtyard - Found-ry Final - Porq v2

do you think it would be possible to make like a funnel with walls too steep to stand on that forces the players down into the basement level before sending them back up? i havent seen the map because my xbox is broken but it sounds really fun

Yes, I calculated the number of objects you'd need and everything and you could definitely do that. You could also make this where my map is, it's just that there'd be no point, seeing as there's a guardian laser that will kill you if you stand for even 1/10 a second.

But yeah, you could try it... I just don't recommend it at all.

v2 news: Well, I haven't even started... lol.. Finals are coming up and I just posted a competitive map today... it's just been complicated lately.. But in time it will come, just play this in the meantime.
