He literally sent me a PM about a week after I originally banned him saying he was a proxy and giving me nearly the same reasons that he just gave for me to allow him to return. I respected the fact that he was honest about being a proxy, so I unbanned him, then he made multiple flame threads the next day.

I don't think any punishment should be executed in the instance of that thread because it does not deserve a lock based on the subject that this website presents.

This isn't a debate on morality, I was being lenient, you commented that it was akin to me locking based on fancy on Insane's page, then you reverse that and say I shouldve gone FARTHER and infracted them based on the same damn logic I used to lock the thread in the first place.

Infractions exist for a reason. They are a means for punishment when someone commits an offense. Being lenient isn't the correct thing to do, though perhaps the morally right (though one could argue that morality doesn't exist in a halo forum).

Infractions for bullshit are permanent in Offtopic. I decided to lock it temporarily to get the point hammered in to everyone than fuck over the offenders for good.

Nobody who didn't participate has messaged me about this, which they normally do. and after all the shit you've been spewing in here, jest, locks, and crap you pulled as admin, I highly doubt you can claim someone else is acting on the "whims of [their] personal fantasy" without looking the immense hypocrite you've proven time and again that you are.

A lock punishes the innocent. An infraction punishes the guilty. If everyone was spoiling it may be appropriate to lock if this forum was dedicated to that topic but if someone ruined harry potter or twilight I would hardly expect a lock or any infractions to be given out. The whole system is arbitrary and, in terms of your conduct, the whims of your personal fantasy.
