Kind of. But we won't be really talking about how to do it, instead we'll be trying to understand the designer mentality, which is what I'm trying to push instead of showing people how to do specific things. For that, Shock's one will be the best, because he'll be focusing intensely on a big topic. I'll be talking about mentality only. Lines of Sight and weapon/spawns are a part of design, so of course we'll talk about them, but only in the context of how it fits into the map's design.

Either way, I'm still not the greatest with map design. So, if I get into this class, I'll gladly take those teachings on to another class, if this Academy goes beyond Beta.
One step at a time, right?

I wouldn't call it another step because both of the classes seem about the same but are actually quite different (Shock's is more focused and practical towards actual map making while mine basically just shows parts of map design that's already done and hopefully eventually all the pieces will come together in your mind to understand what the different parts are and how they work together in a successful map)
I don't require sketchup. If possible, have graph paper and a decent artistic talent (one that I lack...). Any kind of drawing and paper works fine though, as long as you can understand it.

The Edit button. Use it. ;)
We'll just be looking at the submissions and using whatever info is provided at the time. So people feel free to edit...we'll probably start looking into admissions tomorrow or 2 days, which will be about 20 people, people for the classes and people on the overflow list.

- Dewski
- SuperBen1234
- Advanced through the whole 1v1 Conflict tournament.
- Around 10-12 pm on weekdays and some weekends (-6 GMT)
- Either Steps Towards Map Design Mentality or Player Manipulation because I would rather look into how maps are made rather than actually make them because i suck at that part.
- I'm quite interested because I play certain maps in different ways because I want to avoid danger or take risks, and taking these classes would give me insight into other people's thoughts into why things were made they were and how people are supposed to react or don't be should. There might not be 1 exact answer but I'd try to come close.
- Not too much, I've never finished a map because things didn't work out well and I was too inexperienced to know what to put where. I'm more of a strategist than a builder.
- If I am given access, I will not leak codes to allow others in, and all information there will be considered confidential unless specified elsewise. Yes
- I agree that all decisions made by the staff in this matter are final and I will not protest these. Yes
Thanks a lot to RaBBiiTTT for the kickass sig!!

Any official positions or achievements acquired at ForgeHub = N/A
Your expected schedule in which you are 100% sure you will be able to be there. If you are not there, you will probably be dropped from the class and/or beta testing. = Weekdays, 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. central time
Which class are you most interested in? Why? = Insane54's class, it seems like it would be the most useful for me.
How motivated are you to learning? = Well i know i'm far from the best forger, and i'm willing to get whatever help i can, and want to learn as much as i can to incorporate into my maps.
Give us a quick rundown on what you know in Forge, and what you'd like to improve on or learn. = i know the basics of geomrging, the height measurements on foundry, most of the measurements on sandbox, but i really need the most help with design and spawning.
If I am given access, I will not leak codes to allow others in, and all information there will be considered confidential unless specified elsewise (Y/N) = yes

Any official positions or achievements acquired at ForgeHub: None that I know of.
Your expected schedule in which you are 100% sure you will be able to be there. If you are not there, you will probably be dropped from the class and/or beta testing: Tough one. I'm busy with school, mostly. How about... Any day.. 7PM-10PM CEST?
Which class are you most interested in? Why? Well, I sorta need to learn about everything. So I'l take the beginner one (forgot the name already =/)
How motivated are you to learning? Explain IN DETAIL. I am VERY motivated. I LOVE to Forge, but I suck at it. My maps mostly turn out as maps who require too many players, or with flaws in it. I really need some training, even though I might not be able to make it in class.
Give us a quick rundown on what you know in Forge, and what you'd like to improve on or learn. Ehm... I can do basic stuff. Spawning, manipulating, float glitch, ehh.. Yeah.
If I am given access, I will not leak codes to allow others in, and all information there will be considered confidential unless specified elsewise (Y/N) - Y
I agree that all decisions made by the staff in this matter are final and I will not protest these (Y/N) - Y
