In the absurd theory that only good maps will be posted here this would work. In practice this will be flooded by bad maps since good maps will still be posted in the forums. This is a terrible idea.

This isn't bumping the bad maps, its just showing the ones that never got attention, be it bad or good.

I'm afraid I have to agree with Pyro here, the forums are there for posting maps, this thread is just an excuse to post your maps in a THIRD place. We have the Map Database and the regular Maps Section already.

Just because your map[s] got looked over doesn't mean it deserves to be re posted again. Either that map was bad, had nothing new, or you just got unlucky. You aren't meant to be making maps so people will praise you, you're supposed to make maps for fun and to give people something enjoyable to play on. Downloads, views, and comments on a website is not what forging is for.

If you want to advertise your map[s] outside of the Map Database and regular forums, just put links in your signature. If it looks interesting, people will click it.

Yeah man. I remember when I was a noob, I posted my map on here, on bungie, and in like 20 different threads on bungie because i THOUGHT it was really good. Really now looking back at it, I understand the darwinism behind it. Better maps get attention. Suckier ones don't. :/ Seems like what these guys are doing. Lock?

Exactly. Thread is open for everyone to look at all kinds of maps, especially ones that may be good or have potential. For the ones that are bad, you can use this thread to find them and comment to help improve.
