Minefield

When one stays in the minefield on Sandtrap too long, lasers start shooting from the easter eggs next to the obelisks. I found it very intriguing that they never actually hit what they are shooting at and are invisible at most times. When I was watching a video from a game I played when I was driving around in the minefield, I noticed that almost every time a lazer fires, a mine activates where it hits the ground.

My question is this: Do the lasers activate the mines in the minefield outside Sandtrap? If so, can one block the lasers to keep the mines from being activated?

It is mostly visible when a vehicle is behind it.


The laser shoots from the tower.


It shoots past (through but not at) the prowler...
and into the ground, in the exact spot of the activated mine.

Coincidence? I think not!

I don't exactly know if there is a way to block these because there's a death barrier where the towers are and you'd die before you could save something there. Although overloading works but only in forge.

I highly doubt that blocking the lasers willl work. These is the second time i have seen someone report this affect. Also it would be pretty hard to block the laser in forge
