Geomerging Grav lifts?

Anyone want to tell me how to geomerge a grav lift need to learn for my new map. Step by step guides would be much appreciated or even a video would do.

I seem to be having a problem with this, I can merge the fence wall under, and place a grav lift on that. But when I push myself under the map I end up dying.
Anything I'm missing here?

press up on the d-pad as soon as you get under the level.

I do that, but I only get around 5-8 seconds max before my monitor decides to blow up. Can I move or do I have to stay stationary?

you can move i suggest you move up towards the floor rather than stay stationary and that shuold help you without dying.
