Need Remake Suggestions For JP

Well I am starting to remake Jurassic Park, my infection map, because gameplay I felt was very shitty. I thought it would be sooo much better if I deleted some things, and added other things. I may even later release it when it's done with a new name, since I didn't used unlimited money, I could be eligible for an infection play list, just as long as I change the name. So any suggestions will be very helpful.

Opinions needed help with:

Should I remove the timed effects on the map and add man cannons for dark spots? Or should I just get rid of it all together.

Another situation I am faced with is extending the map, I have gotten complaints about the map being small.

Last thing is what weapons do you think work best on the map?

Any other suggestions for better gameplay would be helpful.
