The Pre-DLC Competition!

I made a thread discussing this idea a while ago. A lot of you seemed interested, so here we go! I'm finally writing this thread up!

Heres the situation:

The Pre-DLC competition is a competition that is dedicated to bring Forger's back to their roots. Pre DLC content. Valhalla, Last Resort, Construct, all those oldies. In this first competition, one of the old maps will be picked, as well as a theme.

The person who makes the best map will be crowned victor of the First Pre-DLC competition!

Now, down to business.

As of now, I have no judges. I'm going to need some volunteers. There are 5 judge slots, not including myself. The catch is, if you judge you cannot submit a map. Think about it. This post will be updated whenever a judge is signed.

I'm trying to get judges who are either colored members, mods, or at least high ranking (lotsa posts.)

I myself have a rather unfortunate form of RROD, which only appears randomly and often. On the times that my xbox DOESN't function, it will be up to the judges to carry on without me so we can get all submissions judged as quick as possible.

With that stated, it is time to discuss the map that everyone will be forging on.

This time, the map is.... LAST RESORT!



Last Resort has been chosen due to its large pallet and great forging opportunities. This is the perfect starting map for the contest, and is good for beginners. In fact, most forgers began their forging career on Last Resort. As I said, its time to go back to your roots.


This time, the theme of the map is Team Slayer!


This thread will be locked on Sunday the 24 of August, and all map submissions will be ceased. Judging will then begin.

The final score for a map will be */25.
A first place, second place and third place will all be appointed.

I'd prefer to use Foundry, only because there are countless possibilities using a map built out of Forge items only. Pre-DLC maps only allow you to add/remove items on the map, limiting your options and the number of new games you could create. They also look uglier without interlocking and geomerging, obviously =P

i'll be a judge, i'm already a judge in bloodfire's template map contest, so i think i'm qualified, you should make a group where the judges can talk, but make it invite only, obviously

Umm, should we post pics here too or just link to the thread like I did? It might just be easier for you guys to scan the pics here and then just download instead of going to the thread and looking at the whole thing.

Nano, this should ahve gone in the discussion thread. For the record, no, I'd rather be surprised when I open it up. Just give a link to the download on B.net. Rememebr everyone, only judging requests or map posts should be here, I'd like this thread to be neat as posible.
