In the First runners-up, those two maps.. does that mean we've decided to have those maps because it didnt have them in the poll. So we automatically have discovery and fraction in conquest?

runner-up means that they will take the place of a top ten map if any problems come up. But now that things are well underway, we probably won't have need of them soon. Once the top five maps are selected, the map with the sixth highest number of votes will become the new runner-up

No offence to the creators, but the fact that The Hollow and Gold Rush are winning right now proves that the voters are voting based on the aesthetics...

I have to agree on that true i voted for gold rush but i found that map fun, but still its not all about looks its more about the playability of a map then its looks.

This. Most of the maps promote the v4 gametype's playstyle which is weird when v3 or 5 or whatever was the more requested version. Also, it doesn't help having maps that break ATLAS' rules going in the vote when they'll just be shot down by Bungie. These maps for selection are kind of disappointing.
