Lightbulb Bungie.net Question.

Last week I noticed I was a Heroic Member on bungie.net. I don't know how I got the rank. I assume that I have just been apart of bungie for a long time, but like two days later I was a normal member again?

I checked again today and once again I am a Heroic Member? What the eff is going on? I don't even post that much on bungie and when I do, it isn't something stupid.

Bungie always have random problems. They probably made a mistake while they were doing some updates. They have done this before, and then they stripped everyone of their falsely given ranks. So be prepared.

I was a Heroic member back when I was active. Now I'm back to a normal member. I have no idea how it works.

Bungie's ranking system works as planned. It's not problematic, and no one is taking it away from you.

What happened was you reached a Heroic status, then you became inactive for awhile. If you aren't constantly active on bungie.net you'll lose you status. In Iced Frappacino's case, he had the necessary needs to reach Heroic status before the ranking system was added. He became inactive for a certain amount of time, and when he entered the system updated and took away his status. After becoming more active he achieved it again.

Well, I figured it had to do with activity but other than that I have no idea how it works.

There is actually a thread on the B.Net forums that states why this is happening, and what the ranks are, and why they are given. I'd suggest to do some looking in the pinned topics thing.

Member is the normal thing, Heroic depends on a couple things - How long you've been on B.net, activity, etc... The ranks are based off of that.

Just read the sticky.

They didn't have one when I left and I'm not there at all to care but thanks for the info.
