Machinima making for a n00b

I plan on making a machinima. I need to know: What Capture Card to get, what mic to get, what editing softwear to use...all that stuff.
Any help here?
I know there are like a million of these kind of threads.

I suggest getting a Dazzle capture card, I personally use a Dazzle Video Creator 100, Pinacle Studio 11, and a gaming mic... I don't remember exactly, I had to return it because a defect.

Get a USB recorder for voices. Really good quality, compared to mic plugins.
