I agree with nemi. I'm sorry, but I really don't think they'd be able to do it like a quick fix which is what all of you are implying.
Also, even if they could, one day of striking is not going to change anything. When you want to go on strike, you have to do it for a while, to really get them to miss you. They already know a lot of people want that function, so you're just proving what they already know. It's like if you want something, you have to have something big to trade for it. Unless your going to stay off xbox live until they give it to you, they probably won't.
I also think that some of the buttons mentioned would not work well. Hold the a button certainly wouldn't, because the jumping action is triggered when the button is pushed, not let go. The only one i can think of that might work would be by holding the grenade trigger when you had no grenades. That's what it was in halo 2, but then people could shoot while they're gun was in the down position and bungie has never been one for having things "look" wrong.
