This is from Halo 3 :ODST, it looked great, so i decided to cahnge the colors and render it myself and this is what i got

V1(the dark version)

V2(The light version)

Which one do you think is better? And any comments/tips?

Steel , blue , and orange? not a good color scheme.

Also, I see that you were trying to blend the render in, but you never smudge the render unless your going to do something with the smudge lines, or just blend the render in by smudging around it.

Take this for example (SAVExTHExWHALES' work)

He smudged the render, but outwards and not clumped together.

Also get rid of the random backrounds. I prefer stocks because they give you a backround to work with.

Hope that helped.

Ya DC is right you shouldn't just randomly smudge your render unless it fits... Keep the render moving outward and make sure there is some extra room so it doesn't look all clumped in one spot.

Also I would use the less used colors in your render for the background EX/ use the blue from his mask to make a nice flowing background.

Oh yeah. almost forgot.

YOU GOT NO FLOW. The C4Ds or whatever are going every which way and totaly screws up the focal and defeats flow.
