I don't believe bias voting effected the winner in any of the weeks I ran SOTW. I considered making the contest anonymous at the beginning but since it's only a casual contest I thought it better to ensure the contest is interesting and involving instead. With anonymous entry/voting there would be much less discussion, less "community spirit" and a decline in popularity imo.

Besides it would still be very easy to cheat and vote with bias if someone wanted to. Don't blame the system for you not getting many votes vinny.

I participated in one a couple months ago, and if you believe i'm proposing this system because of the amount of votes I got, then you're wrong.

I've been watching these SOTW every once in a while, and sometimes i'll see that people like Lockdownn and others seem to get more votes even though it seems there entries were a bit subpar to other entries by users not as known.

I suppose you would be able to cheat, but at least it will help.
