Default Tutorial:Anime Signature

I figured that this could be a good beginner tutorial for some anime fans. It's basic and easy to follow. I also liked the outcome of my signature, so I figured I would share. This tutorial is mainly for Photoshop users.

C&C is very welcome. This is also my first signature tutorial so I had a few spelling mistakes while doing it. I was quite sleepy.

When you get a C4d do you cut it out or when you download it does it come cut out? I've just been using print screen for all my renders and C4d's and then cutting them out.

wow, this is actually very good. Better then a lot of sig tutorials where they tell you to do something that's in the dark corners of PS and you couldn't find it unless you've used it before. Great job. I'd post a result, but I fucking hate anime sigs :D

Keep it up.

Yeah I know... I can never find a bunch of the stuff they are talking about. Like today I finally found out that when in the brushes selecting on the right drop down you have to click the tabs on the sides for advanced options. I kept doing tuts that required those and stopping half way through since it was needed in order to come out right.

Thanks for the feedback. I tried to go as basic as possible to make sure people could understand. About the C4Ds, they usually aren't rendered, they always come out with a black background. The easiest thing to do would be to set the blend mode to screen so the black doesn't appear. I don't really ever have to cut out a C4D. I also don't like taking the extra time.

Those type of tutorials are usually called 'intermediate/professional tutorials' because it requires extensive knowledge of tools and functions of photoshop. You don't usually encounter these though, because usually the same effect can be done in a longer yet easier way through a beginner tutorial.

Anyway this is definitely a good tutorial for those just starting out but I don't see how it could apply to some of our advanced users here.

Good job though. 8/10

Yes, we have quite a few advanced users, but in the post I think I said that this was meant to be a basic tutorial. I just want to try and help all of the newer photoshop users that don't understand much. Thanks for the rating too though. Glad you like it.

Lmao dude...sign up at PR, save the C4Ds as a png, and then Place them onto your sig. No wonder all the C4Ds you use look bad.

Or just copy and past so that when you have to re-copy the C4D, just press Ctrl+V instead of File>Place...

And it saves HDD space. It may not seem like a lot, but those images eventually add up.
