What are you talking about? I am sure there are plenty of sites that have their own domain, but I really don't see why you would be interested in a random site.

Maybe he was considering making one, but didn't know the legitimacy of a Freewebs Website with a domain name?

Is this the case?

I am looking to upgrade my website to a domain name, but i want to know if it is still going to have the format it has. I am basically trying to compare vBulletin to a webs.com website.

Yes you will still have the same format, webs.com may give you some more options to customize your website, but it will not change unless you actually change something.

vbulletin is forums, webs is an online shitty hosting crap...piece of shit.
Basically, you're saying that if you even think of choosing between the two, you've got yourself a nice nulled vbulletin script. Good going, I don't suggest putting it online anywhere, your server gets shut down if you get caught.

Alternatives to forums:
ipbfree
SMF
Vanilla

Alternatives to websites (as in, Content management systems....like webs, but better)
Wordpress as a CMS (google it)
cushycms (my review: A great online CMS: CushyCMS! | ViralGFX Blog)
lightcms (hosted)

That about sums it up. Contact me at one of these places for more info:

You won't but It is a ridiculously expensive price to have and maintain. You have to buy bandwidth and, 100 dollars for a license. Not to mention anything else costing around thirty dollars. I would suggest trying out free webs first since it would suck to waste all that money and not have a clue how to use it. If your really into web design afterwards then buy vbulletin and so. And like schradulich said stay away from illegal versions. AKA Key gens, and nulled copies. They will screw you up beyond belief if your caught. Not worth the free price tag.

A good example of a free webs website is Sour Grunt Productions. I'll link in a second. Note that nice designs like these will cost you 50 dollars a year to run. However it is better than a 100$ yearly for VB!

Thanks to Jessica Alba for the sig!
