Re: Complexity of Armored Core 4

I am looking into buying this game. I used to have the original Armored Core for a demo on the PS1.

I loved playing it over and over it was great, even if it was a demo.

I am wondering though, is there online playability? Can you have massive mech battles with other people?

Re: Complexity of Armored Core 4

AC4 is almost the exact opposite of it's sister-game, ChromeHounds. AC4 is about speed and kicking ass, CH is about slow, strategic warfare, all planned out with a commander, if necessary. AC4 has an amazingly fun single-player, but the online isn't as fun if you're not playin ur friends. ChromeHounds had a sucky single-player, but an amazing online mode. I'm just waiting for Sega to combine the two types of games and make the best mech game ever.

And no kidding the whole stats deal with the mechs was utterly confusing. Me and my friend Lord Fausto would pump out totally awesome mechs, going like 700 miles an hour with 2 grenade launchers and angel wings (thats how i roll lol) but we could never replicate them for other designs unless we used a copy of that data. it was totally random and luck had a great deal to do with it.
