Recalcitrance

Recalcitrance
Created by Cosmic Rick

Recommended Players: 6-12
Recommended Gametypes: One Bomb, Land Grab, One Flag, KoTH, Mongoose Snipers

Ever wonder what Kentucky Tango & Elation’s baby would look like? Well, Recalcitrance, of course. Cosmic’s latest forgery is an impressive amalgam of looming, symmetric geometry and an intricate defensive base that shouts “EPIC” right from the get-go. The large, elevated D base somewhat resembles a giant spider. But do not mistake this for an aesthetic map, though it is a beauty. The means from which a player may siege the base are varied and unique. Sneak up through the tunnels into the pool, launch a surprise attack up the grav lift legs, storm right in the front up the large staircase, or improvise with the deployable grav lift.

A host of tactical jumps and great lines of sight, as well as the strategic short-port (a quick teleporter transport from one default Foundry base to another) balance the ground floor very well with the elevated base. The Sniper Rifles and Active Camo spawn present Attackers with the necessary tools to successfully siege the sometimes intimidating defensive base. One Bomb on Recalcitrance is one of the map’s best gametypes, and leaves players constantly thirsting for more. Recalcitrance also works well with Land Grab, One Flag, KotH, and the casual but oh so fun, Mongoose Snipers. That’s right, partner up on a ‘goose and set it to Sniper starts... madness will ensue. Enjoy Hubbers!

Congrats on the feature, great map with excellent game play. This is another must play by cosmic rick. I haven't played anything but assault on this map, but I imagine that ctf would be just as exciting. The layout of the map is probably one of the most original I've seen in a while.

Hmm I remember downloading this a while back. I remember playing a bunch of one flag on it and it was pretty fun. The base is insanely intricate, which led to a lot of different plans of attacking it, just like what made Kentucky Tango so awesome for me. The aesthetics are pretty damn awesome and that middle structure is one of the coolest structures as a whole I've ever seen on Foundry. I never got to play territories on it though and I wanted to try it out. Congrats on yet another feature Rick!

^Thanks for the sig DC killa ^

This map is incredible, congrats on the feature, I realize now I saw this map a while back and wanted it to get featured, you have great aesthetics, geo-merging and interlocking 5/5!

oh ya i saw this before it got featured and i had a thought in the back of my head saying "its gonna get featured and you know it"

anyways the map looks really good and i like the whole floating base (kinda) idea and that there is also still gameplay underneath. favourite thing though is the fountain still.

in the end good job and i hope to see more maps coming our way from you!

YAY this got featured. This map is a great new idea. A map all above that has key access points. Most maps don't play like that. they are just basic run here then back maps. This map requires someone to know were the enemy is to find the easiest point of access. Great map!
