Welcome to Pi, a circular arena designed for 1v1 and 2v2 matches. Pi was created for Tier 1 of Forge Hub's 1v1 Showdown. The map is arena style and is based on a symmetrical layout. Pi can be played on slayer, oddball, and king of the hill, It is recommended that players use 10m radar range on this map due to its small size.

The main floor consists of a walkway that runs around the outer edge of the map. There are plasma grenades and SMG's that can be found in the single boxes around the outside. At each end there is a battle rifle underneath the directional signs. In the center of the map there are a pair of plasma rifles and a regenerator which is on top of a fence through which players can view the basement. On each end of the arena there is a hole that players can jump down to access the ground level. The ground level was modelled to look like an old basement so barriers were stood up to act as pillars. In the center of the ground level a shotgun lies with a spiker along with a spike grenade on either side. To get back up to the main level just take the gravity lifts on each side of the basement.

not even in the showdown, but im sure to have lots of fun with my friends doing 2v2 here!

and yes, it seems like blowing it up from up top would be a pretty good strategy.

Does the shotty control the map and can the pillars be blown out? other than that it looks good.

Shotty certainly does not, although it is of course an advantage. If you can get it up to the top floor it becomes stronger. Grenades are the best weapon against them on Pi, in my experience.

Shotty actually hardly controls the map. If you go up top a battle rifle makes quick work of the shot gun, and if you stay down bottom you can get grenaded or shot through the grate in the center.

I didn't realize just how small this map is until I tried it out. I was expecting Guardian type size, but this is about the same size as the sniper base there. From a forge flyby, it seems like it could be spawn camped, and the upper floor seemed a little bump. I have faith that it will play great though.
