The Estate

The Estate
Created by Asper49, AZN FTW, Reap3r 13, ACTIONJACKSON54, and rusty eagle

I'm back to Foundry after matchmaking for a while. Got up to Major from Lt. in like 3 days, so I'm pretty happy about that. Anyways, I came back to Foundry wanting to rekindle an old gametype idea I had... Splinter Cell. SP-based, it was supposed to be 1 vs everyone. And we came up with the idea to make a Mansion, with things featuring double stairs, an attic, and such, but the basic idea was that the Assassin would have to work his way in and take the territories inside of the house. Later we realized that the territories gametype wasn't possible so it turned out to be infection, elimination style... with the zombies traversing the house trying to eliminate everyone without getting killed.

So as we were getting ideas, rusty joins and gives a very good suggestion. If we are making a house we could have floorboards, so that the assassin can sneak around and end up in different parts of the house. So we planned out the house and began making the first floor, floating high enough so that you can crouch underneath them. And then we created the second floor, created a kitchen, the front door, a porch, and then a courtyard. Added scenery everywhere, and little spots for the Assassin to hide and access different parts of the house.

There are 5 ways into the house from the courtyard... two breakable pallets to enter the floorboards underneath the house, the front door, a crate to the boiler room, and a crate/barrel on the porch roof to access the attic. This gives the humans more area that must be watched, leaving them spread out and slightly easier to eliminate without being detected. The gametype is headshots only; 25% are Assassins that have 2 grenades, a magnum, no radar, good camo and are slightly faster, while humans have a BR, close range radar, and are slower. As an Assassin, crouch when needed, run when needed, and use your grenades wisely... if you don't follow these basic principles you will fail.

Wow this looks awesome. Definitely have to try it out. And the floorboards idea was great.

Wow the rooms look amazing and actually give a sense of looking like what it's supposed to. Hah the kitchen and boiler room are the best.

Re: The Estate

Reaper, Asper, and Action are responsible for the aesthetics. I just made sure things were playable, fun, and strategical. I built the base for the house. They built the rest... couldn't have done it without them.

Thanks for the comments guys... keep em coming.

Re: The Estate

7 hours worth of work was definitely worth the 7 hours of straight playing we did throughout the night... lolz. We got so desperate that we went to play the Heroic DLC playlist just to find new people to pay with. IT WAS SO ADDICTING!!!! LOLZ... and it was Asper, Exponeo, and myself... ALL NIGHT!!!

Re: The Estate

Wow, I bow to your superior map building. Definitely queued for DL. Too bad you chose Disturbed for the music in the video. *shudder* But that's hardly relevant. I'm a huge Splinter Cell fan and am looking forward to do some sneaking around on here.
